As I slip on my knee-high boots and wrap my warm sweater around my pale neckline,
I realize it's winter. When I started to walk down the sidewalk with my digets wrapped in
simple white gloves, having my hands grasp a tall peppermint white chocolate mocha,
and feeling my nose turn cold and my freckles begin to show off more, I realized it was
winter.
When I woke up in the midst of the night, from feeling a slight breeze grace my uncovered
leg, I went to my window to close it gently, to see that my bedroom window was completely
fogged over. I recongnized it wasnt a normal situation for my window to be completely
engrosed in fog and a slight touch of frost on my metal window latches. As I looked
outside, my eyes windened from the slight blur that they were at only miliseconds ago. It
was snowing. I smiled bigger than I had in months and truely almost became completely
endowed with cheer. It was finally winter.
Traditionally, winter doesnt start until the 22 of december, but I always seem to have it
start when I begin to see my breath, or my body starts to shiver if I'm not completely
covered from head to toe with a designer jacket, trendy jeans, knee high boots, a cute hat
that shows off my hair and eyes, and a matching scarf to wrap around my neckline. When
the peppermint mochas or the eggnog lattes from Starbucks come out for the seasonal
invitation of getting starbucks every sunrise, thats when winter has truely started for me.
I can't wait for Christmas..and more snow.
