Only Five Days. I only have five days to catch up on everything needed to be in the great conference of teh freaky smart people (aka Science Olympiad). I have to learn a ton of crap on astronomy and forestry. And in a very, very, very, (one more for effect) very short time.
I've tried everything. I've slept with an astronomy book under my head, because occording to osmosis, the matter dealed with (astronomy info) should go from an area of high concentration (the book) to an area of low concentration (my brain.) I've tried watching treasure planet, starwars, and spaceballs to gain their great, vast amounts of knowledge on the cosmos. However, while the firm book is excellent support on my neck, and while I can now speak fluent Wookie, I am afraid I still do not know the difference between a red giant and a HR diagram.
For Forestry I have to admit, I've only tried one thing so far, which was go into my backyard and start eating random leaves. Unfortunately, this did not give me the wisdom I expected to gain immediately afterward. The good thing is I discovered that many leaves have a very crisp, delicious taste. Once you get past the constepation they cause, they really do make a lovely salad when topped with popyseed dressing.
So now, my ideas for gaining this information exhausted, I must sit here, listening to a never ceasing clock tick, cick, tock away the last minutes of my life. I think I can see my life flashing before my eyes as I write this.
But, seeing as my life is in fact very boring, and I will probably soon fall asleep because I'm being forced to watch it, I'm going to need to finish this journal. It's like watching a very boring rerun on tv, but having the batteries taken out of the remote so you can't change the channel. Ok, I mean, you could stand up from your comfy position on the couch, walk over to the tv, then push the little buttons on the tv to change the station, but who does that any more? Let me be lazy, dangit! domokun
