I'm giving out the information I have available in accordance to this incident. It is tragic, and my condolences to anybody who has friends or family going there.
There is a total of Thirty-Three (33) deaths; including the gunman.
From the VA Tech website:
"Two shootings on campus today have left 33 dead. Thirty-one, including the gunman, died at Norris Hall; two died at West Ambler Johnston Hall."
The first incident occurred at 7:15 AM. The second occurred two hours later, around 9:15 AM.
One of the gunmen was said to be in their 20s, is possibly believed to be a student looking for his girlfriend, is Asian American, and is Six Feet tall. He killed himself by shooting himself in the face "to remain anonymous." He carried a 9 mm hand-gun and another 22 mm hand-gun, and many "clips" (Full of 15 rounds) on hand. They confirmed a connection between the two killings; just not sure of what.
My personal guess on how the gunman got into the building is either:
-He is a student
-Someone unknowingly let him into the building
-Someone left the building, he grabbed the door before it closed and entered.
There are about 20 - 30 people injured from this incident, and are said to being hospitalized right now.
V-Tech has experienced threats BEFORE, and caution should go to those who are, or plan to, attend the school. I assure you it is a good school to get into; it's history this year has had people reconsidering attending.

It was second time in less than a year that the campus was closed because of a shooting.
Last August, the opening day of classes was canceled and the campus closed when an escaped jail inmate allegedly killed a hospital guard off campus and fled to the Tech area. A sheriff's deputy involved in the manhunt was killed on a trail just off campus. The accused gunman, William Morva, faces capital murder charges."
Phone lines are jammed in that area, so if you have a friend/family-member, know that the phone might not go through.
The Campus has not released a list of names of the deceased, and when there is, I will be one to report it to you all.
If you need any information, I can get it to you as soon as I hear and can relay it to you all. You can also turn on your nearest television, it's all over the news (All over mine; I'm a resident of VA, so there's no surprise there).
The next scheduled briefing of this incident is at 7:30 PM Eastern Time, and is most likely going to be covered on the news. If you are interested in this; I urge you to turn on your TVs and watch it.
