I remember being numb as hell one time. I tried to move but not even my head could turn 3 centimeters. Black noticed this and went to go speak to Benjamin about it. I waited patiently as my eyes glazed at the lantern, it had been 3 weeks since I was in the bed and this was my worst. I few times I could get up and walk around, but only for 3 hours then I'd have no choice but to be sent back into the bunk for a 12 hour nap. Once I was able to go outside. I was in one of Abraham's spare shirts and bare foot as I stepped into the forest. The feeling of fresh grass was soft and tender underneath my feet. I could smell the crisp scent of trees and the feel on my skin the oncoming rain. How I urged for that feeling again. I could smell the scent of something hot. Benjamin came in and I tried my best to straighten, he never spoke any words to me...only in gestures. Some times he'd lift his hand to say he'd be right back, or ran his fingers over my eyes to say that I should sleep. He was pale skinned, his hair like a monk...but he wore ordinary clothes. He had thick eyebrows and kind eyes that spoke better than any tongue. As he knelt beside me he had a somesort of like dried meat. He wripped off a piece and handed to me. I lifted my hands waveringly and took a bite of the strange food. The spices almost made me jump. They were strong in taste and healing. The meat was beef, but it was hardly tasted because of the herbs. My limbs felt like fire was pouring into them. Life coming into my body. Benjamin looked at me to see if it worked. He tilted his head to look at my face of shock. I gave a nod, "I-it..Works...oh it works..." I tried to clear my throat and he gave a smile. Abraham came calling, "Ben! Oi Ben, you in there?" His head peered around the corner of the doorway. He walked in, he was wet from head to foot. The smell of rain was like sweet honey to my senses. Abraham gave a nod to me with a smile, "You're son just came in...He brings news for you..." Benjamin turned to me and lifted his hand and he walked out of the room. Abraham folded his arms as he watched Benjamin go. I spoke up, "Why does he stay so quiet sir?" Abraham turned and looked at me, "Why?...well... He's just like that... He speaks, but only if its something scary or he's upset... " I gave a nod looking down, "Can I ask......" My words cut off from my nervousness of asking this. Abraham drew closer, "What is it?" I looked up at him, "Why are you guys nice to me? Why am I here?" Abraham's face changed, it was like fear, sadness, shame, shock all in one painful expression. I regretted asking and turned away, "Sorry..." Abraham pulled a smile through it, "I believe you are wise enough to know by now...but I will tell you...if your Master allows it Taiyo." I gave a nod, half of a smile curving my lip. That'd be a hard one...
