last night we came to a new town. we had to walk in the rain, all but kodaiken who had remembered an umprella. silly me that was the one thing i forgot at home. hmm. i did not mind it at all because i love the rain. mak and hikaru seemed to also as they played mudball together. i am not sure who won that fight still. they were carefull not to get any mud on me, for they knew if it came to that they would be stuck in it, frozen, outside in dreary weather. all together we seem to all have adapted quickly to life in the feudal era. i wonder if any of us shall wish to return home.
this quest is folly. kodaike knows not how or where to find the herbs he needs for eva. i, however, have learned of an herb farmer and a mountain witch that may supply the proper ingrediants for his cure for the woman none know and yet all are here to help. i wonder what five-hundrad year old herb may do for an illness that is living in the modern era. surely there is some sort of science, some medicine that has not been put upon her. for the time being i'll keep silent around him. kodaiken is swagering between reason and illogic. i truly pitty him. syaoran, hikaru and i each share a mutual distrust of kodaiken as we silently spoke from the others. i know not what will come of this.
at the inn we all managed to find eachother in we meet umi, a friend of hikaru's from the old village. he has said we may have room and board at the inn for free. umi is a very nice boy, very close to hikaru, i think, and the two seem to like to talk about a secret. i feel close to hikaru and umi has told me what hikaru has said about me. he says i am wise and powerful. it was such a compliment never come to my ears before i didn't do anything but blush and thank him. soon after syaoran asked me to his room. he wanted to ask me why we were all here, what we were doing. i told him i hadn't known why, but my suspicions were clear to him. he let it at that and also pondered why he was turning into a fox, of sorts...a fox demon. he has ears and now a tail to match. all in all he does look rather cute. hmm.
lastly i say i worry about ayun. while mak and i were going off to train i had heard something near the ally by the inn and so i ran back, pleading to mak he join me, and we found ayun in the mud, unconscious. i have yet to know how he came to be like that as his clothes were torn yet he hadn't a scratch on him. mak helped me carry him to his room and i cleaned him up and sent him to bed. thereafter i so did and perhaps today he will tell me. i am ashamed, my first conclusion to arrive, which i have steadily released, is that kodaiken poisoned him. he follows him around, so....ah...nevermind. i must go now. it is a new day and a new town to explore.
may i find answers when i need them. may my friends stay safe where i want them.
