Hello boys and girls.

The air was damp and the moon near full.
Most people, or should i say beings had the sense to stay indoors this night..except one.
A silhouette dashed form doorways and crevices trying to reach its goal ever sooner, it was cold out and strange things lurked on nights such as this. Never the less it worked its way from street to street, gliding as if the very laws of physics didn't apply, the fact was they didn't.. not to it...

At last its goal was reached..a church, or at least it was called that by the residents here. A grin became visible in the darkness..one full of malice and hate.

as it entered the church its cloak was removed, underneath was the shape of a young woman her hair was dark and short..her face slim and attractive..if looks could kill she was the plague.

A priest noticed the young woman and approached her with haste.
"ye gods woman!, what madness brings thee from your home?" he asked
"father matilas?" she asked softly.
"yes.." he answered.
"you.." she said.
"I'm here for you..."
The grin returned and the room began to fade to darkness where holy relics once surrounded there was now only darkness...the kind of darkness where closing your eyes makes it better, the kind of darkness you fear..because despite what your mind tells you there ARE things in there, beasts...demons the stuff you only scream about in your deepest.darkest.dreams.

then the sun came up.

The streets were filled with activity, people selling miscellaneous items of equal uselessness, people gossiping and laughing..no one noticed the disappearance of one late father Marcus matilas, none except his son. his name was chapple on account of his fathers profession, his mother had died in child birth.thus the town had condemned the child as a devil, because they were the folk who were that feeble minded that if a dog barked differently then the day before it was a devil and must be burned.

no one helped chapple seek his father, in fact the banished him from town.
the child wandered for 3 days until he happened on, completely by accident a small stone church in the middle of no where. he couldn't make it up the steps so he simply layed there and hoped he would be found.

another day passed.
a man clad in robes hummed to himself as he walked,it was a catchy tune..he had heard it in the inn the night before.

"well bugger me!" he shouted startled at the child laying in front of his tiny home.
he picked him and took him inside, chapple's eyes briefly opened to see the stonework drifting pass in a haze. then they closed again.
