Carpe Diem Ad Muertum
Sieze the day, to the death. There is no potential that shall be passed by, there is no piece of glory to fall by the wayside, there is no soul to left unsaved by the brilliance of language. As writers, we are gods.
Stuffed Animals
Have you ever seen a stuffed animal- a real one, as in, one that got shot and went to a taxidermist- and wondered why it wasn't still moving? I looked at one the other day and expected it any moment to come to life. Have you ever wanted something like that to happen? Some proof that all is not as is. I read a book wherein a man realizes that as long as he does not rely on real circumstances and rather on random chance, he stays alive and he wins; luck bends around him and forms a little protective barrier against the greater odds in bad situations. He uses this to his advantage very soon after learning of it. Similarly, would you be able to react with the same calm were one of those stuffed animals to reanimate itself? What would happen... I have wondered this so many times... if something like that did occur? How would people react? Because it seems in the books that there is always a majority population who reacts with fear to anything out of the ordinary. I have never understood the psyche of these people and never will, but I realize that they are required to set apart the normal people from themselves. I only wonder: in a situation such as one in which a dead animal moves again, who would be normal, and who the brainless?

Yay, late-night ramble-ness!
