A/N: This is Naruto fanfiction, because i love naruto. this fanfiction is playing towads a naruto/sasuke friendship. Theme: trust-courtesy of Soko_Lena disclaimer: I do NOT own Naruto ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Okay you three, line up."
A rather irritated jounin stood in front of his team; of coarse with his mask, you'd never really know. The three young genin stood next to each other as ordered.
"We are going to try a new exercise, since your teamwork still seems to be lacking."
Sakura looked away from a brooding ravenette long enough to quirk an eyebrow at her sensei.
"What kind of exercise?"
With that question, Kakashi gave an unnoticed smirk, "a trust exercise. When on a mission, you must be able to trust your team mates with your life. This will help to grow that trust." The elite shinobi retreived a length of rope from his pouch and held it out, " two of you are going to be tied together by the wrists and one of you is going to be blindfolded. The one blindfolded must trust their partner to lead them around for half a day. Are you ready?"
The pink haired kunoichi looked immediately thrilled at the thought of being tied to her precious Sasuke-kun, inner Sakura pumped the air with her fists 'CHA! TAKE THAT INO-PIG!'
Naruto looked slightly confused but still curious while Sasuke just look bored.
"HAI!"
"Good, then lets us begin. Sakura, Sasuke, you're first."
Sakura looked as though she was going to pee on herself with joy when their teacher tied them together and Sasuke was blindfolded, "okay, until lunchtime, go." _____________
Sasuke and Sakura-a perfect success. Both made it back to the bridge at noon and the Uchiha was unharmed and looked completely healthy(if not a little pissed off from having been drug around by the Haruno as she bragged to the sounds of fangirls). Sakura and Naruto-not so good. From lunch to dinner, Sakura came back with her fair share of bruises from having run into things because Naruto forgot to tell her they were there. The moment she was unbound, she proceeded to beat the crap out of the Uzumaki.
Now, Sasuke and Naruto.
"Sensei! Do i really have to be tied up to that teme?"
"Just shut up dobe."
Kakashi was a little reluctent to tie the rivals together, but he had no choice, they needed it. And with the chakra enforced ropes tied tightly and Naruto blinded, their sensei gave a sly 'goodnight, see you two in the morning'.
"Crap, crap, CRAP!"
Naruto gave a tug at his bound wrist.
"I can't believe I'm stuck with you."
"Hn."
The blonde took hesitant steps, afraid of what he might run into.
"Will you stop that! C'mon."
"Where are we going?"
"My house, where do you think? Now shut-up, you are so loud."
Naruto gave a whimper of unfairness, but fell silent. He was too tired to snap back. With his other senses heightened by the lack of sight, the blonde picked up on the noises of people whispering, probably about the strange sight of the mighty Uchiha tied to the demon-boy.
"Are we there yet?"
"Almost."
The pair made it the Uchiha manor and managed to make dinner without killing each other. Naruto chatted away endlessly while happily slurped up cup ramen, needing only his nose to locate it. Sasuke was alot more quiet, when they finished, he stood.
"Now what?"
"I'm going to bed." The pale boy began moving in the direction of his bedroom, but was stopped by the lack of movement from his friend.
"What?"
"How are we going to sleep?"
"In the same bed, unless you'd prefer to lay on the floor."
Naruto immediately turned red.
Sasuke sighed, "come on."
In Sasuke's room, he gave up on pajamas and just climbed into bed, dragging a still blushing blonde with him. Naruto couldn't see the soft satin sheets but he felt them when he laid down, relaxing somewhat. But he went immediately tense again when he felt an arm around his shoulders and a nose nuzzling the crook of his neck.
"W-what are you doing!!"
"Sleeping," Sasuke smirked when his friend went even more red.
Naruto couldn't believe it; his friend, his rival, was cuddling him!?! WHAT THE HECK!
"Just go to sleep." The pale boy snuggled closer.
"Never thought you were one to enjoy cuddling."
"Hn. and if you tell anyone, I'll burn you to a crisp." ________________________
Sakura woke up early to get to the bridge before anyone else. On her way she saw her team mates walking towards Ichiraku's ramen stand, still tied together. Naruto followed Sasuke's guide without hesitation and Sasuke stopped Naruto from running into anything or anyone. It was flawless, not how she had left them yestreday.
"Amazing what a few hours, a little rope, and a blindfold can do."
Sakura jumped at her sensei's words, she never even noticed him next to her.
"Yeah, I guess you were right."
"I'm always right"
"Ch."
"What?"
Both teacher and student came up on either side of the boys.
"So, how did it go?"
Naruto blushed when he heard the question, Sasuke said nothing. But he did smile.
