KAMIAK SHOWBAND IS DA BOMB! We came, we played, we won......and won and won and won.

Okay, so I wasn't too excited about going over to Winatchee *Is that how you spell it?* And when we preformed our show in Prelims, I wasn't too happy either, cause our marching sucked. But then came Finals.

Loudest we have ever played on the field, marching great except for one move that was off cause Seth was being a d**k on purpose *You do not give me the excuse "I'm Seth, so I can't make it" and expect me not to try and kill you, especially when we only won first place in Prelims be half a point!*

So, then came time for the retreat. This is where all the bands come out onto the field and get their award. Took fifteen minutes for everyone to come out on the field. Five minutes for the others bands to get out, ten for us cause we are a hundred people larger than any of the other bands. 220 strong baby.

Of course, then came awards time!!

Let me list off all the award we won in order:

1. Best Brass And WoodWinds

2. Best Marching

3. Best Drum Major

4. Best Axuilary *Can't spell that, and that is the pit, or stationry instruments, and the Color Gaurd, or flag team*

5. Best Drum Major *Which I actually didn't agree with. Alita sucks. Last year, our head drum major Stephen NEVER recieved ANY Drum Major awards. And he was ten times better than Alita. He was crisp and sharp, and I don't even bother watching Alita anymore, her conducting is sloppy.*

6. First Pllace in Triple A Large Devision.

And finally...7. SWEEPSTAKES! BEST BAND OVERALL BABY!!!

We only missed out on two of the awards, and those are the two that do not matter in your scores. They were:

Pit Crew: Which are the parents, or rodies, who help us get all the pit equipement *aka, gaint xylaphones and gongs* out onto the field. No biggie there.

Spirit Award: Best band spirit and good sportsmanship. Are you kidding me? We are Kamiak. We are so used to winning and being snotty little rich kids that we brag and sneer at the other bands. We are horrible sports. It's a good thing that good sportsmanship isn't part of the scoring, otherwise there is no way we would win. Right after we won, and walked a small ways away from the field, but still near enough for them to hear us, we burst out into our school fight song, then played several other fight sings, and were playing our instruments and making asses of ourselves all the way back to the busses.

Anyways, to put it shortly, Kamiak now has been undeafeted for four straight contests!......Just wait till we get to Oregon, we have never once won that competition, mainly cause that one is a throwaway every year. We do it to know what losing feels like and make the rookies have smaller heads about our showband. Big egos loose competitions.
