Inu Speaks
I'll try to keep it brief.
27th
And now, ladies in gentlemen, in which Inu tells a sad story.
Cry me a flippin' river.

I don’t remember when I first heard the word gay. I know I didn’t know what it meant until I was around 10 or so, and when I learned, I couldn’t see why people made it sound so mean. I figured gay only meant boys liking boys, because obviously, girls liking girls wasn’t a bad thing. My mommy had always told me that she would love any “girl or boy” that I did. As far as I knew, my boy friends were never told that by their parents. Plus, my aunts kissed each other and nobody told them it was bad. But boys weren’t cute like us girls; they were hairy and sweaty and gross. That made sense. I got it.
But, then my sister brought Thomas home. He never told me that he liked boys, but he looked at them the same way she did, and she looked at them pretty hard. But, Thomas was nice. Thomas read books to me and played board games with me when my sister got the flu. He made me a chocolate cake for my birthday and bought me a tape for my new stereo. If boys liking other boys was wrong, than Thomas wouldn’t do it. Thomas was nice.
I cried the next time my friends called someone gay.
Thomas wasn’t bad. Thomas was nice.

+_ _ _ _ don't try to fool yourself!

*shiver*

I knew what the word gay meant from the time I was . . . eight? Something like that.
Anyways, that story made me sad, because I know how I react when people call someone else a "f**" and really mean it.
I don't react. I can't. Its that simple.
After all, I hear it everyday. When your a boy you hear the word gay, f**, queer, homo, ******** . . . everyday. Most boys go into PMS-esque angers when they are called gay, but I'm used to it.

+_ _ _ _ i could never love a monster like you . . .

@ Lo: sad
@ Cruci: Well, being a girl, I escaped that side of the situation. People don't think to call little girls lesbos. Plus, being a girl, I am also prone to crying, to perhaps this description didn't really do justice to how awful it made me feel.
I can't stand when people use it as a common insult, though. It really does something to extroardinarily piss me off now.
