This morning, as I was eating breakfast, the man on the radio started to talk about the sanctity of life. This brings me to a ramble about the subject.

Being an atheist i have no belief in any so-called "higher-being" or "god".

But the sanctity of life seems like a bunch of crap. Who says that life is sacred? God? If you think about it, God is one of the major causes of death. Hindus, Muslims, Jews, Christians, all getting together to kill each other just 'cos God told them it was a good idea!

It's all because they gave the wrong answer to the "God Question".

"Do you believe in God?"

"No."

*BLAM*

"Do you believe in God?"

"Yes."

"Do you believe in my God?"

"No."

*BLAM*


The sanctity of life isn't something you could blame on god though. You know how we got the sanctity of life? We made it up. the human race as a strong interest in that life is sacred, like it makes you feel noble.

But the sanctity of life in quite selective, look at what we kill:

Chickens and pigs:- 'cos we're hungry.
Lions and Tigers:- 'cos it's fun.
Insects:- 'cos they're pests.
Pheasants and Quails:- 'cos it's fun and we're hungry.

And people:- 'cos they're pests..... AND IT'S FUN!!!!

But the sanctity of life doesn't seem to apply to cancer cells does it. When was the last time you saw a sign that said "SAVE THE TUMORS!"

The sanctity of life comes from a very biased point of view doesn't it. You know why?

We made the whole ******** thing up!
