The quiet muttering and sobs seemed to echo like the rivits of a rain drop. They stood before a hollow, yet not empty, wooden box. They did not all cry, ironically, most of them kept to themselves and stood strong through any of the pain they maight have felt. Car acidents happened far too often for this lifetime, they only wondered why it had to happen to them. A buque of daisies, her favorite flower, were placed neatly on top of the solid oak box. Before it was lowered into the ground one boy came forward, his eyes red and full of water, but no tear marks to be seen. After looking at the box one last time he placed a single rose on the cofin with a black silk ribon tied on it. It was from the Phantom of the Opera, their favorite movie let alone musical. He wanted one last kiss, but he knew that he would never let her go agian if he was given the chance. The others watched and soon Mathew pulled the boy back. Finally he let go of the tears and turned as the coffin was lowered. Matt held Josh by the sholder, silently to keep himself calm as well as Josh.
Victoria was in the back next to Eirc and Kevin. They had all already felt the first shock of the pain, but seeing Josh struggle set them off as well. Kevin was not as close to her, but he now knew, he was not imortal. He was beguining to question everything he had done and everything he would do with his life. Eric had silent tears roll down his cheeks and he held onto Victoria's hand, she tried not to scweeze hard, but could not help it, but Eric did not mind. He knew it was helping her get through her grief.
"Jessica, Jason, Tezz, Tzessika. This young woman had many names, and had many talents. She addapted to every enviornment, but never let it win over her fully. She always left a big impression on people." The priest started.
Nathen hung his head slightly, his hand fidiling with a lighter inside his pocket. She wouldn't want to be remembered like this. She wouldn't have wanted to be burried at all, let alone with a priest present. She was different and had a different outlook on life and the afterlife. She would speak of going to hell all the time saying she was damned to it, but he knew there was no way a sweet person like her could possibly be sent to such a harsh place. He laughed to himself slightly. She was right in the end. God did hate her, and even if she wanted hell, he would put her in heaven. He pulled out a cigartee, she would not want him to go back, but the stress was so great right now. He snapped it and placed it back into the cartrage.
Cory, her best friiend, was in the back row, in the last seat. She had not realized that her friend had moved on so much and made so many friends durring their time appart. Cory was comforted by the family, but she long so much to be with the others, crying like they were. She almost felt like she wasn't caring enough, like she had never really known Jessica and that these people did. She had a blured vision, but could still see Jessica's boyfriend across the way on his knees with Matt next to him and crying. She looked down and could truly feel her heart break now. She came to tears and hated the feelings she had. She wanted to spend another day with her, tell her one more story, and possibly mess with her one more time.
Her mother tryied to comfort Cory, but couldn't keep herself together either. It was her fault. If she had just not let Jessica get her license and allowed her to get some groceries, she would still be alive. She wasn't suppose to die before herself. Her daughter listened to her, and she actually came to her with her problems. Jessica was always the good child. She always made the worst times in life easier.
Raymond, her father grabbed his wife and hugged her and cried tears of sorrow as well. He had thought he had gotton them all out at the house earlier that day, but he hadn't. The autum leaves on the trees around them fell with every passing breeze and only releaced the many tears.
Marti was in the middle, she had no real place here. After her problems with Matt, she had no one to comfort her and Josh was worse then she was so her brother could do nothing. She was alone, but strong. She had cried the day she recieved the news, but now, she had little to give. Tezz was a good friend, even when she was stuborn about her looks or always worrying. She remembered the nights she spent over at her house and how the family was always so happy and always playing jokes on her. Well this was no joke, and no one was happy. She wondered what Made Tezz so damn special. She wondered how she had so many true friends when she was such a loner, and yet the answer was simple. She treated others in a fair manner, and she was close to Jeasus. No matter how much she hatted the fact of religion, she was always accepting and backing it up when it was questioned.
"Tezz will be remembered." the priest closed the eulogy and tossed spritses of holy water about the coffin.
Life had gone on, school had continued and it was sr. year for everyone. Matt got on Aim one night to be messaged by their friend David. He said hi and asked how everything was. "Fine, Calculess and Ap english is hard and a pain in the a**, but good otherwise." David then asked how everyone was. Matt paused for a moment not touching the keybored. He wondered if anyone had been able to tell him of Tezz's death. "Well, besides tezz getting in the accident, and Josh being to himself too much, everyone seems to be getting along." David put an exclaimation mark on the message. He then asked if Tezz was ok. Matt sighed and leaned back in his chair as his eyes watered. No one had told David of her death, and it just occured to him just how real everything was. She had died. There were no more chipmunk jokes, there was no more fun pokes or jabs to get his attention or just to mess with him anymore.
David sat on the other end of the messege. He wasn't sure if ths was some sort of joke or what. Tezz was always trying to pull his leg about stuff, but then why would Matt wait so long? had he left the computer for a moment. "Hello?!" he typed. he waited until another messege came up. that said he was sorry, but he thought he was told. "Told what?!" David replied. Another messege poped up.
"She died, the car was hit by a SUV" Matt typed. He didn't want to see or think of what Davids reaction would be. David too had liked Tezz at one point as more then just a friend. not many guys could resist all of her charms. He waited, but was inturupted when David had signed off. He didn't expect much else. It would be hard for him.
David held the computer plug in his hand. He had heard about a fatal car accident a month ago, but thought nothing of it. The plug dropped to the ground and he ran to get the newspaper from back then and began to read through the obituaries. Three days after the supposed crash he found it. There was no picture, but her english name read in bold in the bottom left hand corner of the page. He dropped the paper. This was so wrong.
Marti lie on her bed stairing off into the nothingness of her mind. It had been a long time, but she couldn't go back to work. She wouldn't let herself go back to school either. The last day with Tezz, she had spoken wrongly about her behind her back, but at the same time, so was everyone else. Why should she take all the blame? She sat up and looked to the window. She would go today. She would have to run to get there on time, but she was going to make it.
Matt passed through the DATA hall and stopped by the glass seeing Marti run up. It was an hour into class, but he smiled. At least Marti was there and not being hard on herself anymore.
