I don’t understand…why park your car on the street when you’ve got your own driveway? Just why? I get being lazy and not wanting to get out of the car to close the gate, but it’s not like you’re constantly going out every single day. So, wouldn’t it make your life easier to use your driveway? More so, when it comes to street sweeping days?
They’ve closed off my street since they’re doing construction on the service-line. So, why would you try to convince the police officer to keep your car where it’s parked at? Or that you’ll scoot the car just a little bit to give them room? All because you don’t want to spend time looking for a parking space and/or walk all the way back home?
They gave us all advance warning about it. You couldn’t have ignored all those signs saying you can’t park here for the whole week. They need the entire street clear of ALL cars. They need the space to work and to use their heavy machinery, etc..
Why did you think it doesn’t apply to you? We’re all force to find somewhere else to park our cars. Yet you’re one of the few who has a FREAKING DRIVEWAY. I just don’t get it. Why don’t they ever use it? It’s such as waste. My 70-year old physically disable father would’ve loved having a driveway. My parents always complained about them never using it, but now I see it for myself.
It’s such a hassle to wake up before the crack of dawn to look for a parking space, along with all your neighbors. It’s worst when it’s street sweeping days because that limits your options. Having a garage or driveway would’ve been so useful. Most of those who do have them take full advantage of it, especially when they know they’re not going anywhere for the week. And yet this neighbor never uses their driveway. They haven’t gone anywhere either for half the week. So again, I don’t understand and can’t figure out their reasoning for doing this.
