Happy Trumpocalypse! xd Honestly though, I don’t think anything horrible will happen in the next few years as a result of Trump being president. I could be wrong, but as of right now, I don’t see it. I have seen some of the reactions to the inauguration though. Some are hilarious, such as the one woman kneeling in the street with her hands up in the air who then shouted “NO!” when Trump was announced as the president. I call her “Little Miss No-No” or “Little Miss NOOOooo!” or “The Neon No”. I haven’t decided which sounds best, and I’m sure the rest of the internet will come up with something else. The clip of this woman was fantastic. First, she’s sitting there almost like she’s praying something will happen at the last second to prevent Trump from taking office, and then when it’s announced, she cries “NOOOooo!” as her prayers are ignored. She should have known this was coming for at least the past month or two. She had plenty of time to deal with her emotions, so what the hell was going on in her head? I’d love to find an interview of her explaining why she was behaving like a child who was just told they couldn’t have desert until they finished their veggies.
The signs being toted around by people in the women’s march the day after the inauguration were sometimes also funny, and also sometimes a sad indication of the intelligence level of the people holding the signs. “Eliminate men” was one of the signs. Killing half of our species would ensure the death of the whole thing. Its just how human reproduction works. Plus, bad idea. Men do a lot of sh*t, and on average are physically stronger than women. Unless it’s voluntary or done very sneakily, there is no way to get rid of that many men. Plus I’m pretty sure the world would fall into chaos if it ever did happen. Then there was this sign that appeared to show that the person who wrote it didn’t know men had to pay for razors. Not only do men have to pay for those, women have to as well. I really hope that one was just a fake or someone trolling or something. Then there was a “Pussies in Formation” sign, which is funny and sad. I’ve seen so many people say women are people and should be treated as such, and that sign just reduces women to fleshlights (adult toys).
There was also rioting, because apparently people who are allowed to walk the streets without a parent haven’t figured out how not to throw a tantrum when they don’t get something they want stare These are the times when I’m real glad I don’t live in a major city. I don’t want to be near that sh*t and have my property damaged or stolen, or be attacked myself. I am way too much of a chicken to deal with that bullsh*t. On the bright side, they will probably stop after a while. Maybe. Hopefully. Just have to put up with it until they realize their tantrums do absolutely nothing to change anything. Failing that, they could all just go to jail for the damage they’ve done. At least then they wouldn’t be doing any more damage.
Next, I guess, personal life things...
I worked for the lady a bit this week, and made enough to ensure we didn’t starve, so yay! Though yesterday she did tell me to leave in a rudeish way. She didn’t need me to work, but I had been talking to someone there, and the old lady came out of her office and said “Byebye!” or “See you later” or something like that. Maybe she didn’t realize I had been talking with someone or maybe she just wanted me gone and didn’t care, I don’t know. Kinda made me feel bad though... Also, earlier that same day she apparently had been talking to someone and said the guy had to be an atheist because he didn’t want to talk about religion. She could have been right, but there is also the possibility the person could have just been something else and/or didn’t like discussing religion. Atheists are such a tiny fragment of the earth’s population that there is a very good possibility that he wasn’t one. And the way the woman speaks about atheists drives me up the wall. She speaks of them as if they are more below her than the sh*ts she takes. When the topic comes up she claims “they don’t believe in anything”, which is so very wrong. I tried to tell her that an atheist can believe in other things, it’s just the one thing (belief in a god or gods) that they don’t, but of course she didn’t listen. Why listen when you can blabber over the person you’re talking to and say that maybe-atheist is going to a place they don’t believe is real? stare I’m trying to be careful and not oust myself or my position on what may or may not be out there, but damn, I really just want to spill the beans right in front of her and tell her off. The old bat would probably die if I did that though... Plus I kind of need that ten dollars a day to make sure my roomie and I don’t starve... Hopefully I’ll be able to find work elsewhere so I won’t have to put up with her any more.
Speaking of somewhere else to work, my roomie heard from someone else that one place nearby was looking for people, which is great! Then they told us their applications were online, which, is no biggy for me, but when I went to try and find the website they said to go to, I found out it doesn’t exist. Either the people in the place were being dicks, or they somehow don’t know what to tell people who walk in and ask for an application, which they should. I worked for four months at a bakery and learned within a week where the applications were just in case someone asked and I needed to hand them one. They should know a website name. So, yeah, that was annoying.
And then there was... umm... nothing else to say, I guess? Well, I am watching every episode of Fawlty Towers that I can find. There are only twelve, but I saw a clip of one episode and just had to see more. I’ve watched the first season thus far, and my room mate had to walk into my room to ask if I was going to be okay because I was laughing so much. Such a great show. I’m going to see if there is a way to get the show on DVD or blu-ray or something. I’m sure roomie would love it too. And that’s it for this week...
