I’m having an issue with my left ear. I believe it’s called tinnitus? It feels clogged (like a similar feeling when you go swimming and there’s water stuck in your ears) and there is this roaring wind sound. I hear everything normally, but it’s extremely noticeable when it’s quiet. More so when I’m sleeping or trying to sleep because the sound is so annoying. I had this problem in the summer but after two days it went away. And the way it disappear was after getting out of the house to do some shopping and I came home I realize that the wind sound stopped.
I have it again. I went to sleep and woke up with my ear feeling stuffed with the wind sound. Funny enough, when it was time to sleep it’s was gone in the morning and the rest of the day, but I woke up the next day with it. I was hoping after going out groceries shopping today that it would go away but, nope, it’s still here. In the mean time, I’ve notice that listening to music or watching tv, if the volume is loud it’s actually drowns out the sound and everything feels normal. Hell, using earphones to listen to music or earplugs stops it (or hides the sound).
Holy s**t. Bohemain Rhapsody by Queen is playing while I type this and I mute it for a second and the wind sound is gone. Oh wait, nope, it only lasted a minute. That has been happening a bit yesterday, where my ear seem to pop and it’s clear with the sound gone, but it comes back after a couple mins (along with that clog feeling). And at first it wasn’t strong, but after stretching my back to get rid of the kinks, the sound got loud.
Of course, at this point most people would be like go to a doctor. But I’m reluctant to do that for two reasons: (1) my mother will be vicious and blame it on me for using headphones/earphones. I don’t need to hear her s**t, especially when she an a*****e who goes “shush” when someone sneeze or cough when her favorite telenovelas are on. So of course, when I’m trying to watch my tv shows or listen to music she gets on my case about hearing my s**t when her shows are on, which is why I used headphones/earphones. I hear no complaints when I use them, unless of course there’s a commercial and she sees me wearing them then she’s all like “essas coisas em seus ouvidos vão fazer você surdo!” and all that junk. And (2) it’s expensive.
I figured, if this continues on for about a month than I will go and get it checked out. I just needed to rant it out a bit. I’m a bit cranky and it makes sleeping a bit difficult since I’m the kind of person that like the quiet. If there has to be noise, I rather it be the ticking of my alarm clock than the damn roaring wind sound in my left ear (thankfully it’s not a ringing sound because I would have have lost my freaking marbles by now).
