In this prompt you are to start your story with: Back then we all wore our hair...
"Back then we all wore our hair in pony tails and we wore sneakers with everything. We didn't have a care in the world. We would eat ranch flavor sunflowers seeds, spitting the shells on the ground. We would watch the children play cops and robbers or freeze tag, and we would stay in our secluded corner thinking we were cool. So much has change and I wonder what stays the same with each generation?
Nowadays, everyone is focus on technology and they can't seem to live without their smartcards, iholos, tablets, and so on. If you were here, you would be cracking jokes about how our generations had it good. And you would be teasing me that I haven't change. That I still wear pony tails and sneakers with everything. You'd be right, some things about me are still the same, but my taste and interest in things are different now.
Yours would be too, though I wouldn't know how much. But when you wake up you'll see for yourself," I said, looking at the cryostasis pods, containing my twin brother.
"I'm just glad that it only took the doctors a few years to find the cure for your illness. As much as we made advancement in technology, we have yet to perfect immortality. We can stall the aging process, so people can live to be more than 100 years old, but we can still die.
There's just so much that you need to catch up on. What worries me the most is the what ifs. What if the cure isn't enough and the illness comes back? What if the effects of being cyrostasis for too long has messed with your health or brain? What if you can't handle how much has change in the world? The doctors say that you're fine, that there's nothing to worry about but I can't help it. They're going to wake you up soon and I wanted to squeeze in one last visit in case...well I hope nothing will go wrong."
