It seems like in this generation girls and guys don't know the meaning of the word marriage. The girls don't wanna work, clean, or cook, all they want to do is be taken care of with nothing in return. The guys don't want to get married, but can you blame them? Why do they need to marry the girl when she's sleeping with him for free?? There's a saying my grandma always reminds me of, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?" There's no need to marry her because she's giving you everything without making him work for it and that's why teenage pregnancy is soo high. My culture is really strict to most people but it's wise. This includes but is not limited to: - NO SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE - NO ALLOWING A BOY TO TOUCH ALL OVER YOU (NO butt grabbing/smacking, thigh rubbing) - NO BEING ALONE WITH A BOY WHO'S NOT A RELATIVE - YOU HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO COOK - YOU HAVE TO CLEAN - YOUR DAD OR FATHER FIGURE HAS TO APPROVE OF THE BOY BEFORE ENGAGEMENT - YOU HAVE TO HAVE A JOB - YOU CAN'T DRESS IN SHORT CLOTHING (NO shorts, bikinis, holter tops, short skirts, etc.) - YOU HAVE TO TAKE A 6 WEEK PRE-MARRIAGE COUNSELING COURSE - BOTH FAMILIES MUST MEET AND HAVE A SIT DOWN (discussion about the entire situation) - YOU MUST PUT YOUR HUSBAND AS #1 (husband, kids, work, other family, friends, etc.) Basically you have to be a virgin, a clean young woman who's mature in her ways and is ready to be a wife and give it her all. Respectable women is what we are expected to be. I know it's a lot but it does a world of good and yes it gets harder as we get older and hormones start to rage but keeping to it is truly something to be proud of.
