I’ve always wanted to compile a list of horror songs and music. Putting together a horror playlist is great for writers to have because such music creates the perfect mood for horror writing. It’s also good to have for Halloween. I hope this is useful for others and not just myself!
This list is broken into three sections. The first being songs, which have vocals on them. Some of these I know don’t sound very horrifying but they fit because of the lyrics are pretty creepy.
The second section is music, which contains no vocals (only a few have for the chorus but that is all). The music is compose to sound scary and create the ideal atmosphere for horror.
The final section is a combination of songs and music, which are more fitting for Halloween. So this section is what you would typically find for the holiday, such as in Halloween parties.
