Don’t you hate it when you write something and someone’s response to it is wrong, not because you disagree but because they’ve misinterpret what you wrote? The strange thing is that there’s nothing to misunderstand. The writing is to the point. I purposely choose certain keywords to make it clear so that there wouldn’t be any confusion. Yet it still manages to happen. Maybe it’s my fault for not being clear enough but sometimes a person CAN’T be any clearer than what they put. So it’s more likely that they jumped into the wrong conclusion and did so because they didn’t really read the writing, they skimmed it or they’re purposely trolling.
It’s like one of those moments when you watch a movie (or anything else for that matter). When a person talks about the same movie they describe things that didn’t happen exactly as the way they said it did. What, we did see the same movie right? There’s nothing to misinterpreted or to speculate and yet they still did. For example: A character got shot and was left dying on the floor surrounded by their blood. After the fight a solider check their body and confirmed that they were dead. There’s no way they are alive and yet you’re saying that they weren’t shot in the first place. Again, were we watching the same movie?
I always seem to be plague with people making assumptions about what I write. I don’t mind clearing things up but there’s no need to be rude about it. Assumptions CAN be avoided if a person rereads the writing or politely ask for the writer to elaborate what they mean. It’s simple as that. So there’s no need to be a jerk about your assumptions. However, assumptions shouldn’t even happen in the first place when the writing is straight forward about it’s point.
