I definitely need a bronzer and for those that don’t know what bronzers are used for, they help to contour or reshape your face. It’s an illusion type of deal. They give a person’s face depth and a healthy appearance if put onto the forehead, bridge of the nose, apples of the cheeks and jaw bones. If placed on those areas, it will give the skin a healthy sun kissed look without the use of self tanners that can make people look weird.
I love using bronzers a lot more then blushes, which tends to make me look too youthful. I’m at an age where I don’t need to try to look young. My height and appearance makes it pretty obvious that I am. That’s why my goal is to keep it simple by using few cosmetics to help make me appear a little older/mature.
Anyway, the bronzer I use is the L’Oreal Glam Bronze Bronzing Powder 941 Enchanting Sunrise and sadly I’m running out of it. It’s pretty expensive and there’s no harm in looking for an alternative. In Dollar Tree they have L.A. Colors Bronzer and I didn’t see the harm in trying it out.
The bronzer is shimmery and it has a gold tone. I think it’ll make a great highlight on darker skin tones. If not, and no matter what skin tone you have and this doesn’t work for you as a bronzer, then I suggest that you use it as an eyeshadow.
For me, all I need is just a hint of it and it looked nice on me. I’ve also tried it as an eyeshadow and it works really well as that too. But I have a feeling that most people may not like that this bronzer is shimmery. If you prefer your bronzer to be matte and natural looking then steer clear of this one.
