On Tumblr, please come up with your own tag for your roleplays. Nothing is more annoying then seeing so many roleplaying posts clogging up the tags. For example, instead of tagging your post “Devil May Cry” try putting “Devil May Cry Roleplaying”. If not that, what about “DMC RP” or “Devil May Cry Role Play”, or “DMC Role Play”, or “Devil May Cry RP”? I’m sure you get the picture. It’s not that difficult in creating a new tag for your stuff.
It makes it easier for you, the RPers to track their own posts and for people to find them by doing that. Also, by not tagging your posts under the name or series your character originates from, it helps to keep the main tags organize.
Plus, it’s a polite thing to do. Just as it is a polite thing to do by tagging porn with the appropriate labels, and putting them in their own tags. Not everyone is interested in seeing those kind of things. And not everyone that checks the main tag of popular fandoms care for roleplays. It’ll make everyone happy to not see stuff like that taking over.
This also applies to ask blogs and fanfiction posts (which by the way, please use the ‘read more’ break to save space and time).
