"True nice guys and nice girls can take a hint when it comes to rejection. They will either enjoy a true friendship with a person who doesn’t requite their affection or they’ll move on. They won’t hang around in a clingy, creepy, almost stalker type way hoping the person will change his or her mind. True nice people chalk it up as part of the dating experience and move on. They don’t become embittered and take it out on others like faux nice people do.” — Lisa, Heartless Bitches International
The first signs of a not-so-nice guy or girl is when they can’t take no for an answer. They’ll think you’re playing hard to get, even when you politely tell them numerous time that you’re not interested. It doesn’t matter if you’re subtle about it, to be nice and not hurt their feelings. They’ll still be insist and won’t listen, then you’re force to tell them straight-forward so they can get the message. Once they do, there’s two ways they’ll react: 1) They dropped the “nice” act and start being rude, calling you names, saying how you’re not worth it anyway, that you’re not hot as they thought you were or whatever else. 2) They continue playing “nice”, saying how you two are meant to be and that in time you’ll see it too. So they’ll be your friend, waiting for you when you’re “ready” for them, despite you telling them otherwise. They’ll flirt at times, say nice and sweet things to you, and sometimes they might even get territorial when you talk about someone you’re interested in. In the end, they’ll eventually get tired of being nice and show their true colors.
There might be other ways that “nice” guys or girls show signs but those two above seem to be what happens the most.
