"Are we there yet?" my childhood friend, Kent, and I bugged my dad.
"Shut up already Ami!" my dad snapped.
I slumped into my seat, "Why was I the only one who got yelled at?"
"Maybe because you're annoying," Kent teased me.
I punched him in the stomach and he fell forward.
"Or maybe because you don't act like a girl," Kent said while in pain.
"Nah, that can't be it," I said, but Kent's words really bothered me. Was I not liked by many guys because I acted like one of them? I really liked Kent, but if he sees me as a guy then that means he will only see us as just friends.
"You act pretty tough like a guy," Kent said.
"Well I don't have the body of a guy!" I puffed out my chest. "See?"
"What am I supposed to be seeing?" Kent asked. "I'm guessing about a size 34A."
"Idiot!" this time I punched him in the cheek.
"Hey, hey! Knock it off you two!" my dad yelled.
"Sorry," we didn't fight the rest of the car ride.
After awhile we got to our destination.
"Wow! The beach!" Kent and I said.
"Come on Ami let's go swimming!" Kent grabbed my hand.
"Wait!" I blushed but I stopped him, "I don't have a swim suit on."
"Come on, you're a man! You don't need a swimsuit!" Kent teased.
This time I punched his side, "I'm going to change."
"Alright," Kent fell into the sand.
I saw my older sister's car pulling up into the parking lot, "Oh, perfect timing!" I ran over to her car.
My sister stepped out her car, "Hey Ami!"
"Aimi can ask you a favor?" I got to the point immediately.
"Sure, what do you need?" she asked.
"Do you have an extra swimsuit I could borrow?" I asked.
"Yeah, but didn't you just by that one-piece and some board shorts?" Aimi reminded me.
"Yes, but I'm not really into it now," I said.
"That's a waste of money," Aimi said, "But sure. I only have bikinis, if that's okay with you?"
"That's fine," I said happily and gave her a tight hug, "Thanks, you're the best."
"Hmm," Aimi said to herself.
"What's wrong," I asked Aimi.
"34A," Aimi said out loud.
"Leave them alone!" I yelled at her.
I took Aimi's bright blue bikini and walked into a changing closet. The top fit on almost fine except for a little bit of room, which made me a bit sad, but the real problem was the bottom piece. It just wouldn't fit!
"Is my butt really that big?!" I was mad.
So instead of walking out with the bikini bottom I just used the black board shorts I had bought before. I walked over to where Kent was lying and he burst out laughing.
"What?" I was becoming embarrassed in this swimsuit.
"For once you actually look like a girl," Kent said.
"R-really?" I blushed.
"Yeah, well except for the 34A, but close enough," Kent laughed.
"Oh, well I'm flattere- Wait what do you mean for once?! And what about my size 34A breasts?" I got up in his face.
"You know you're really close to me," Kent pointed out.
I realized that his face was only centimeters apart from mine. We both blushed and looked away quickly.
"So, you want to swim in the ocean now?" I asked him.
Kent got up, grabbed my hand, and said, "Let's go!"
"Whoa!" and we broke off into a full sprint.
When we got to the ocean we just stared at each other and had a mental contest of who can get in the ocean first? Kent and I ran to the ocean, but Kent tripped over a young boy's sand castle and crushed it. The little boy started to cry.
"Kent! Now look what you've done!" I ran over to the little boy. "Don't worry sweetie I'll help you build up a new and bigger sand castle!"
The boy 's tears stopped and he smiled, "Really?"
"Yup, we'll start right now!" I grabbed a shovel.
"Hey Aimi! I'm going into the water!" Kent called out. "My toe's right above it!" He looked over at me and the kid. Kent said to himself, "Well, I guess she has some girly characteristics along with her masculine ones."
I wiped off the sweat from my forehead, "We're finally finished!"
"Yay!" the little boy cheered.
"Madoka!" a voice called. "Madoka! There you are."
A guy about my age ran up to the little boy and I, and the boy said, "Big brother!"
"Madoka, why are you all the way out here?"
