So I have noticed that pricing seems to be quite harsh. If you don't have a bunch of free threads samples you are priced low. Also if you are posting for someone else asking because they are thinking about selling art on gaia. Digital work is also discriminated on because some don't add backgrounds. Now when requesting pricing I was told by a few people that some of my art would be far lower then my traditional work was going for.

It seems if your account is on gaia for longer you get a higher price. I would refer you to a topic I read before when my brother was asking for prices. When I find it again I will link to it at the bottom. This topic though makes several good points that I would like to mention here as well. You have to think about the time that it takes the artist to do this work. No one does or at least it doesn't seem like they do. My brother takes 2-3 hours to draw his art and its only sketches and I take 30 to color it. Now he was told he would only get like 1k-5k for it and that was with my coloring....also my coloring looks like that of a two year old....that is insulting.

Now no one is perfect but I see people posting 2 minute MS Paint art and selling it for double what I do mine. I also don't think Chibi's should go for 100k but people are asking 250k+ for them. They do the same with a lot of other things. I'm sorry but not everyone on gaia can afford to pay 20mil for one piece. I understand if you are questing an item but most times people will pay for the cheap art that still looks good. Something else I hate is when I asked about repricing people would not let go of the fact that when I started I was on lined paper. Is it really hard to stop and read? Apparently.

I have given away some of my art to friends or given them as gifts to them. Good news I am done with my observations, I am sorry parts of it became a rant.
