alright so, to be honest, when they first debuted, i never really had an interest in them. i guess some songs were okay, but other than that i was really into american and japanese music... so i didn't really care much about kpop. but then one day, while stumbling upon a random stranger's profile on gaia, i heard shinee's jojo. the beginning was really catchy, so i stayed on the person's profile a little more just to listen to the song--i ended up liking it more than i had originally planned, and so when i looked it up on youtube i realized it was the same group who sang "ring ding dong" (i knew about ring ding dong before jojo, in fact, that was the first real shinee song for me lol >//< ) and then i decided from there that wow, this group has potential--i might end up liking their songs! so then i re-watched their RDD music video and then really really noticed jonghyun after wards because of his blond hair. it had unique colors and not to mention his singing caught my attention. he had a really... husky voice--something i've never heard before, so i was quite amazed.

after that day i decided to study them. i looked up youtube videos that showed who each members were, and all. i learned their names, but it was hard, because the video used pictures of them back when they were in their juliette era (i remember mistaking onew for key LMAO) but it was fun. it honestly was. and then a couple of months after that i started to drift away from shinee altogether (this was in 2009, i guess) so i missed a lot of their 09 performances and their shows and whatnot. i actually got back into them when their lucifer comeback was nearing.

like okay, i was in the gaian neighborhood and saw a role-player who was really into shinee and had their comeback date in her signature or something. i sat here at my computer desk for a while trying to remember who they were (it had already been a year since i left shinee), and once it hit me i just basically exploded all over the place because it felt like a reunion. i was reunited again with shinee and to be honest that was probably one of the greatest feelings i have ever felt. ever since that day i've never left them. i even made a tumblr to catch up with the latest updates about them (how did i know tumblr updated about shinee? ... i stalked a fan's tumblr page hahaha) and met tons of cool people there!! (i've drifted away from tumblr though, however). before i signed up for the site i never knew there were kpop fandoms. i mean i've heard the word "shawol" before but i never knew what it was until i made an account. after learning its meaning i was proud to call myself a part of The SHINee World, kekeke.

tl;dr: i'm just really really proud of my boys. :'.) they've made it so far and have made so many new fans with their natural talents. they deserve this much love, and even the title "The Beatles of Asia" ! n__n i will forever be a shawol, even in my later years ~
