The angel was just bouncing around on the rooftops. From rooftop to rooftop she hopped, gracefully, beautifully; blissfully unaware that she was being watched by a being most people would prefer to not have stalking them. The demon stood at the top of the highest building in the area, where the Angel wouldn't hop to. She was busy landing with grace and hopping from side to side as swiftly as she could, with as much beauty as she could. She deliberately did this to test herself, to test her stamina and agility, but what it really did was irk the demon watching her.
He frowned upon it. It was almost as if she did it on purpose, just to annoy him. He had been thinking of ways to stop this foolishness for days now, but every time he got caught up in her movements. How she moved, how her hair swayed on the wind as she moved, how her feet barely touched the rooftop as her wings impulsed her higher and farther.
This time he decided to end it, without planning anything. He'd just go up to her and stop her. Simple. He unfolded his leather wings and flew after her, mirroring her, jumping from rooftop to rooftop until he was right behind her. the angel had yet to notice this and kept on jumping.
By the time she realized she was being followed, the demon had already caught up entirely, having gone by her side and tackling her down to one of the rooftops, holding her in place. The angel was stunned, What had happened?
The demon gave her a smile when she looked his way for an explanation, and she quickly realized the threat of his presence. She pushed the Demon away and stood up as fast as she could before taking to the skies. The demon looked up after her and smirked before following suit. He followed her wherever she went, around the city. He already knew where she'd likely go, so it was no trouble taking a few shortcuts to corner the angel.
Cornered as she was, the brave little angel stood her ground and glared at the demon with warning in her eyes. He smirked at her bravery, thinking it stupid. He walked towards her with his hands in his pocket. She stayed where she was, not moving, not even flinching when he was inches away from her. He took her chin in his hand and moved her head from side to side, with uncharacteristic gentleness. "Pretty thing." he muttered. This set her off and used her wings to create an push from the air around them that pushed the demon back. As he stumbled back from the force of the wind and the dust that fell around him, the angel took the opportunity to fly off once more.
By the time he had taken to the skies, she was gone: out of sight. He snarled with annoyance and took off for the high building he used as a watch post. If he had looked around, the demon would have found the pretty little angel, just a block away, watching her attacker as he left.
