"You will help me!" The demon demanded vigorously shaking the poor angel's shoulders. His patience with her was wearing thin, and he could hardly take anymore of her stupid requests, questions, or even blathering about God, and redemption and many other things that only ignorant and stupid, little angels believe in. One simple task is all he asks of her, and even that she can't do right.
He takes her by the hair and pulls her to the edge. With her wings bound, the angel can not fly, therefore, cannot save herself. The pathetic creature struggled under his hold and cried out in a language so ancient and sophisticated, none on earth had ever heard the words muttered before.
"Now, obey or you die." The demon threatened, through his bared fangs.
"Go ahead." The angel spoke in a tongue the demon would understand, "Drop me, I am fully prepared to die." She said proudly, "I would rather do so, that to assist you in anything."
The demon snarled impatiently, he took her by her throat and held her over the edge, the city lights below glittering like stars and the illuminated roads, and fast speeding cars, just ants in the distance. The angels wings dangled beneath her and pulled her down, if not for the demon's hold on her neck, she'd already be plummeting to her death. The demon's cold eyes stared at her own determined and unwavering ones. He gave her a smirk before throwing her down off of the buildings roof...
He glanced down the side of the building before jumping after the angel himself. As soon as she was in his arms the demon opened up his own wings, and headed up to the roof once more. He set her down on the ground gently, and unbound her wings. The angel just sat there with a smile of her face, looking at the demon as he moved, about a look of distraught on his face.
"You just can't do it can you?" she asked him as she shook her head. The demon shot a glare in her direction before going back to pacing. He run his hand through his hair and muttered words in a language that was too vile for angels to even dare listen to. Though this angel has heard him mutter and curse and say these words before, she is not so unfamiliar with the language anymore. He turned to her and knelt next to her. "What have you done to me?" he snarled at her, his hands taking her face roughly in between them, before moving to gently caress her cheeks.
The angel smiled " 'Twas not me that done anything, but the heart you never knew you had." She moved her arms around his neck and embraced him, whispering "Thank you for saving me."
The demon pulled her up with his arms around her, "But of course." he could not help but whisper back. He gently put his forehead to hers, with his eyes closed. The angel smiled, content to be in the demon's arms. Who would have thought it? Certainly not her father.
The demon opened his eyes and leaning closer to her, as if to kiss the angel. His breath fell on her and she smiled again.
"Race ya." He spoke softly, once his lips were almost upon hers, and then jumped back away from her, standing at the edge of the building, waiting for her to stand next to her. He smiled playfully as she stood, a light chuckle escaping her lips. She shook her head and walked up to him, "Same as always?"
"Same as always." He agreed and she jumped up on the edge next to him. "Alright," she said, "But when i win, I want the kiss to here" and she tapped her bottom lip.
"Hey, rules are; you win, you get kissed, you don't get to chose where the kiss is placed." He winked at her along with a smile.
"Fine, we oblige the rules." She face the dark horizon, opening her wings wide.
"First to City Hall wins." he stated spreading his wings.
Both bent down in the position swimmers take before diving into the pool. "Agreed, 1..." She began count down.
"2..." he followed,
"3!" She exclaimed before both dived off the side of the building.
