Personality: Saori has a duel personality of sorts: reclusive and quiet when in the presence of her schoolmates while excitable and affectionate when in the presence of family. She sets many goals for herself, starts many projects, yet rarely does she finish any of them due to her lack of discipline. She's not particularly witty—a solid C+ student at the very best—and tends to flake when it comes to appointments or chores. Despite this, she is far from dumb. Her photographic memory allows her to remember many details, and if her educational interests expanded passed art, her grades would be much better.
Saori enjoys listening to others talk rather than excessively chatting herself, leaving her content to watch as a silent observer amongst an interactive group. When she does speak her words are carefully chosen, heart-felt, and honest. Yet she also finds herself wishing for someone with which she can casually chat to (other than her parents). This longing for friends has been a painful desire of hers ever since grade school. Sadly, those in her school she has had the courage to meet haven't been patient enough to get to know the true Saori, thus they brushed her off as someone who doesn't want company. In fact, the excessive blushing, sweating, trembling, and stammering they witnessed upon first meeting her lead them to believe she was ill, which then caused Saori to lose her nerve and shy away.
But underneath her pessimistic and skittish outlook on people lies a friendly, good-willed girl whose sincere consideration for others makes up her heart of gold. She is passionate about her photography, and wishes to one day own an art gallery of her own.
Likes: New Age music, painting, watching nature, anime, American comics and manga, children, fried octopus and tomatoes, cooking fish recipes

History: Born to Yamamoto Ken and Hina after three miscarriages and one still born, Saori has been coddled all the years of her life as the 'apple' of her parents' eye. Overly safeguarded, deeply loved, overt, her intimate relationship with her parents has been perceived as radical and even appalling to most modest-minded characters; however, it has become such a normal thing to Saori that she believes every family lives the same way.
Due to Hina's reluctance of parting with her daughter, Saori stayed home-schooled until old enough to enter elementary school. There the origin of her social anxiety was sparked when she become so nervous introducing herself to the class she threw up on the teacher's desk. Since then she was forced to endure such severe ridicule and teasing by her classmates that her family had to move to another district in Tokyo by the time she entered the fourth grade.
Her next 5 years of education was done via the Internet while she attended therapy sessions to help her cope with her now crippling social anxiety. These sessions, however, only succeeded in making her more uncomfortable, secluded, and Hina opted to allow Saori to conquer her fear in her own time instead of seeing her teen daughter grow even more scare Joining Ojo High School was a decision made by Ken, but Saori didn't fight it, as the school was reputable and she liked their mascot. She now takes prescriptions to help her anxiety remain tolerable, sticks to very low-key roles in her school (not even joining a club), and remains a wall-flower that barely anyone in her school notices exists.

Hair: Auburn hair with defined, yet long bangs pulled into low, side ponytail that ends just below her shoulder
Eyes: Ice blue eyes always show a sense of nervousness, but turn warm and content when in the presence of her family and few true friends

Attire: Saori likes quirky clothes from thrift stores and often wears mis-matched colored shoes of the same style

• Saori never wears makeup (but will apply a light coat of lipgloss and eyeliner if at a formal gathering)
• She is never seen without some form of camera. It can be small, sleek, or it can be big and bulky. She never leaves her house without one though.
