Other characteristics: Long black hair tied back tidily in a warrior tail secured with a strip of leather. Wears a blend of loose clothing, usually covered with a long vest that reaches mid-thigh. She prefers beiges and browns.
History
A normal child for the first years of her life, when she turned five, her right eye slowly lightened from black to a pale gold. Her father blamed Aelwyn's mother for this abomination (light eyes were a sign of daemon taint) and locked her away. Her mother died when Aelwyn was 11 and her little brother Kalios was 8. She was not allowed to train with the other Guardian children, due to her discolored eye, and constantly drilled alone. The siblings were banned from meeting and continued to do so whenever they were able. Aelwyn despises her father for locking her mother away and trying to separate her from her brother.
As a youth, Aelwyn was stricken from the Guardian clan of al'Kan for refusing to participate in raids on daemon-communities. Aelwyn joined the Healers' Guild but was kicked out for misconduct and lack of respect for her teachers before finishing her apprenticeship. With her time there and her previous knowledge of Guardian-healing, she picked up enough about herbs and the cultivation of life-force to make her living.
Additional Information
Aelwyn is strong-willed and decisive, making her decisions and living with the outcome. She can be awkward around crowds due to her thinking that everyone is staring at her eyes and can react in a rough manner. If she is heckled enough by a single or small group, she will confront them no matter the circumstances, While she may stray from her beliefs at time in a fit of anger, she rapidly regains her (external) composure.
