For those people that haven't played the first Halo game here's some information about it.

First off, you start out on a ship called "the Pillar of Autumn" in the middle of some epic space battle between the Covenant and UNCS forces. The captain of the ship, Keyes, lets the player, the massive spartan Master Chief out of cryo freeze. As the Master Chief you are to take the A.I., Cortana with you and off of the ship. On your way you must push past the Covenant Eliets, Grunts, and Jackles that have borded the ship and get to the "Life Boats". Once you reach them you escape the burning ship and procced to crash land on an unknown ring flouting around a large gas giant.
