What's been going on?
Yes, yes. I know, I've been dead to the internet for I don't know how long! My apologies. My work has been keeping me in the badlands of Auldrant lately. You know the places: Tataroo Valley, the Zao Ruins (it took me FOREVER to get the sand out of my coat!), Ortion Cavern, and more of the like. In any case, I'm back in civilization for a while, and intend to make full use of Grand Chokmah's Inn's wireless connection.
Let me tell you, though, that Noelle really owes me one! My last client was an aggravating, arrogant Kimlascan noble. Noelle initially accepted him as a client, and then spent half and hour with him. Immediately afterward she begged me to switch with her. I would have refused anyone else, but, well, she's my little sister! How can I say no to her?
Evidential this guy hadn't really been outside of Baticul before, so I ended up flying him all over the place! And he would really only stay in one place for a few hours at a time. I've gotten hardly any sleep the past three weeks! The longest we stayed in one place was in Keterberg, and that's because a storm came in and we couldn't leave. Even then I wasn't able to catch up on sleep because I was in the engine room doing repairs the storm caused, and once I was done my...charming client was rested and ready to leave. ><
In any case, he just left the Albiore here in Grand Chokmah, so once I finish up here I'm going to go collapse for a week!
The Blackhole
In all reality, I don't have that much more to report. It turns out that the vile liquid was actually years and years of engine grease. Why Grandpa was collecting it, I don't know. Maybe he thought it would come in handy some time. We're still not entirely sure what to do with it, so we'll probably incinerate it with the rest of the grease from our workshop.
The last time I talked to Noelle she said that things were going well, and that you can now see desk space! This, I cannot believe until I see it with my own eyes.
Projects
The portable flamethrowers are now on the market, though they are currently only selling them in Sheridan and Chesidonia. I hope that they catch on. I've found my own to be incredibly useful on my trips.
Before my latest client I started working on plans for specialized guns that can fire fonic energy. I believe that this will be more practical for the type of situations Noelle and I find ourselves in, but this weapon is still in the planning stages. I'm hoping to have more time to work on it in the future.
The Albiores
The Albiore IV is coming along well. Guy is working on a fonic circuit that should facilitate cooling the engine. We'll install it once he's finished with it.
Ah, and on a side note, I've now installed a fonic music player in my Albiore III. It makes longer trips a bit more enjoyable.
