moon, oh moon,
you shine so bright,
you cheer me up every night,
when i watch you cross the sky,
i wish with you i could fly.
moon, dear moon,
my mother so dear,
take me back,
so i dont shed a tear.

you save your energy all day,
and use it all night to say,
you love your children so dear,
and the night they should not fear,
