Title: With You Chapter:1
Long ago, when nature was dominant and the Earth's air was still fresh and not contaminated, lived a small village near the Wind River Mountain ranges. The village was fairly close to forest, which was occupied with many different animals. But also deadly monsters lived near by wrecking havoc over the village from time to time. In the village lived a young man named, Kovu. He was a tall and slender boy with black hair that went to his shoulders along with dark brown eyes. Kovu was an only child his parents had, so he had a lot of attention from them but would never seek for it. He would always have many of his village friends around him to keep him company when he needed it. But, for some odd reason, over the years he couldn't be around the village as much as he used to. Kovu had a small feeling like he was completely different from his friends and the other villagers and the only people he could actually relate to was his parents. It annoyed him to no end that he could only be comfortable while with his parents but didn't dare say it to them. One day in the beginning of summer, Kovu went out into the Wind River Forest for a long walk and to think over what was happening to him. He was born in the village and had loved the place since, but now he seemed to be starting to dislike it. Noticing strange smells and also not liking the foods as much as he use to. Shaking his head, Kovu placed a hand on his forehead. 'I must be going through a stage, or something.' He stopped near a long flowing lake and knelt down. Bring his hands together, he scooped up some cold water and slowly drunk from it, feeling the water cool his throat as it went down. He stopped suddenly when a sound came to his ears. Kovu stood and turned around, already in a defensive mood, his right hand placed itself on the handle of the sword he had resting on his left hip. "Who's there?" He asked when the sound came to his ears again. After a few seconds the sound had gotten louder and the ground started to shake as if there was an earthquake. "I'm warning you!" The voice caught Kovu's attention and he looked up to see a woman in a purple and light blue kimono rushing out of the forest. The woman seemed to be going in slow motion as Kovu stared at her until she accidentally rammed into him, causing both of their bodies to crash into the small brook. Luckily the water was only knee length and Kovu sat up and glared at the woman beside him. "Watch where your going!" The woman stuck her head out of the water and glared back at him. "Well, sorry! I was busy running for my life but you just stood in my way!" Kovu was silent for a moment as he looked at her. He couldn't help but notice that she was a beautiful girl, but also could ignore her features. Her bright golden eyes were what he noticed first, he could see himself swimming in the pools of her gold. Her eye lids had a brilliant lime green color which made her eyes pop out even more, while on her cheeks lay two jagged dark blue lines running in a 40 degree angle. Kovu finally noticed her long and silver hair, water still dripping at every silver strand. His eyes widened at the realization of what she was but before he could say anything, a loud growl came from the trees in front of them. A large gray furry monster with long and sharp horns on top of his head stared at the two and Kovu swallowed hard. Quickly the woman grabbed hold of his arm and took off towards the other side of the forest with the monster close behind them. Kovu tried to keep up with the woman, who was extremely fast. He looked back and saw the monster nearly catching up to them with its claws strecthing out towards them, he then snapped his head back up to the woman in front of him when something fluffy hit his cheek. Kovu's eyes widened when he saw the thing attached to her, he stopped running causing the girl to stop as well. "What's your problem?" She asked, already not liking the man. Kovu pointed at her like he was a child, his body was shaking and his expression was full of shock. "Y-you have a tail!" The woman rolled her eyes. "This is not time to be checking me out!" Kovu caught on to what she said and glared at her. "Don't flatter yourself, girl. I was doing no such thing!" The girl huffed a "Whatever" and continued to run when the monster had gotten closer. Kovu couldn't help but stare at her back. This was his first time meeting a demon and it not wanting to try and kill him. 'Plus, she's a girl and she really-' Before he could think his last word, he watched in horror as a pair of black horns forced their way in the woman's back, making her release a painful cry. Kovu stood in his tracks frozen and watched as the monster threw the pained woman to the side, her body crashing on the ground creating a small dent under her. 'What can I do?' He asked himself when the monster made his way to the unconscious victim. Something deep inside him suddenly told him to help her, but how was he suppose to do that? Kovu released his sword with a shaken hand. Before the monster could reach the unconscious girl, he ran towards him and successfully hit the monster with a sweep of his weapon. He just hoped his attack had an affect on it. Turning towards it, Kovu released a grin when he somehow sliced it's right leg off. Not wanting to celebrate too long, Kovu went towards the girl and gasped when a pool of red liquid was growing under her. Noticing the monster's struggle to stand, Kovu picked her up bridal style and quickly took off running towards the village. 'This girl better be thankful! I'm risking my life to save her's!' Suddenly something hit him and knocked him down to the ground, luckily he didn't receive any injury but the woman had been knocked out of his hold and rolled a few feet away and his eyes caught sight of his sword laying a few feet away from him also. Swallowing hard, Kovu looked back and saw the monster looking back at him as it crawled towards him. 'Cant it just go away?' Luckily, before the monster had a chance to take a strike at Kovu, four bright short green beam-like energies came and smacked the gray monster in his neck, causing it to fall over. Kovu looked back to see the woman wobbling on her feet with her left arm stretch out. He could see her long sharp nails glowing a brilliant green color and smoke rising from them. Standing up, Kovu went to get his sword then went to her. "How do you get to defeat him when I did all the work?" Struggling to keep standing, the woman still managed to glare at him. "I guess that means your welcome?" Kovu sighed and helped her remain on her feet. "Yeah, sure. My name is Kovu by the way." With one of her arms over his neck and one of his around her waist, he slowly walked down the grassy plain. "...My name is Arina..." Kovu looked at her and noticed she went back to being unconscious again and sighed heavily. "Never thought I would actually get to sweep a woman off her feet. Especially a demon." He said aloud to himself as he began to carry her bridal style. For some reason he couldn't stop himself from blushing the entire way back to the village. 'I wonder how my parents are going to react when they see I brought a girl home.'
