Background History: Kanda was the first born in a small family. They were a small nomadic family, going from village to village. They had broken away from the Ranmaru Clan in search of their own happiness, and Kanda was the first to bring them that happiness. He was a kind and compassionate child, who wanted nothing more than to please his parents. It was when he was four that they announced he would have a younger sister. He was thrilled, and was further surprised when his parents finally decided to still down in the Kusagakure. He was never really sure why they decided to do so, but after gaining permission from the Kage, they all settled down in the outskirts of the village. Chisai was born shortly after settling down, and everything was coming up roses. One day on his fifth birthday, Kanda noticed a group of child in a school, training. He looked up to them, having been a somewhat weak child, and asked his parents if he could join them. Once again, there was a trip to the Kage and Kanda was granted permission to become a ninja. Things couldn't have been better for him. This sort of idealistic childhood went on until he became a Chuunin. The was fourteen at the time, and his entire family was there to witness his achievement. The moment where it all turned so horribly wrong was only a day after this. On his sister Chisai's tenth birthday, Kanda had run out to do some errands. Because they lived on the outskirts of town, it was quite a long ways to run back and forth. He was coming home late as well, because the shops had all been crowded. Opening the door to the main house, he felt something was very very wrong. He dropped everything when his sister's scream pierced his ears. Rushing into the kitchen, he found his parents dead, their blood staining everything, including Chisai who was curled up in the corner, sobbing uncontrollably. Kanda slowly went to his sister and asked what had happen. She sobbed something about a rogue ninja before passing out. Kanda rushed her to the hospital, and after a few weeks of Chisai in a coma, she finally awoke. She had forgotten everything. Who he was, who their parents were, everything but an uncontrollable fear of being touched. Kanda was lost, confused, an angry. He blamed himself for not being there for Chisai and their family when they needed him, and made a vow. He vowed he would find the killer, and murder them brutally by any means necessary, and protect Chisai from any further evils. He trained harshly as a Chuunin and suddenly discovered his Kekkai Genkai. He pushed himself further as a Genjutsu user, and eventually became a Jounin.

Background History: Chisai was born in a small home on the outskirts of the Kusagakure. She had a loving brother, and a happy family, and that is all that she can remember past the age of ten. It becomes a large dark blur, and she can only remember waking up in the hospital to the face of a very concerned older brother. She didn't even remember that he was her brother for a few months. It was a long and painful recovery, especially when she was touched. When Kanda first hugged her when she awoke, she froze up and stopped breathing. She nearly died because of that. Returning to the Academy at the age of eleven was weird. She had friends, but she didn't know who they were. She disliked every moment of it, boxing herself up in a small little corner of her heart. When she finally graduated the Academy and became a genin, she could remember the soft smile on Kanda's face. She wanted to see that smile again, and vowed to make it come back for him again. She worked hard, discovering her Kekkai Genkai shortly after her brother did. Slowly recovering as her brother did, the two were mirrors in nature. When Kanda was happy, Chisai was happy. When Kanda was sad, Chisai was sad. She idolizes her brother, and will do anything he asks without question. Kanda has tried to get her to stop that habit, but she refuses. She just recently became a Chunnin, and has started leaving their home more often. She has finally opened herself up completely, but will become shy around people of a lot of importance, not wanting to burden anyone.
