A girl in the mansion
I looked towards the big house on the hill outside the town, it was a old house from the
Victorian time. The windows was big and in the middle of the house was a round colored
window in many kinds of colors.
There was many ghost stories about this house... In my class did the boys run around trying to make the girls scream when they tell them about the house's bloody story.
There was never just only one story. But I understand it's only lies!
When I look closer at the building can I see a big statue of a woman holding a child it was maybe nicer before. But now is it falling apart.
I was looking at the building so much that I didn't notice that a person came against me ready to make me scream.
“Hey!” Said the person, I turned around and looked at my twin Nina... She hold a bag in her left hand tightly like it was a treasure and smiled to me.
“I'm done with the soccer training for today, thank you for that you waited for me Diana”
“I will always! You are after all my little sister!” I said with a protecting voice and a big grin so she could see I was saying the truth.
“Why are you looking at the house?” She pointed a finger towards the hill. “I was just wondering about that ghost story we are going to make tomorrow on school” I throw on a another grin and took her hand to we could go home.
“Ah, I wondered that I should write about a rabbit that finds a ghost carrot” She was still a little child even when she was thirteen years old now!
I laughed to her funny joke when I found out it was a real joke... “What's so funny?” She gave me sad face. “Did you mean it?!” I was shocked like crazy.
“What is it to dinner today?” She changed the subject. “Mm...” When we came to our house I could smell the dinner already. “Chicken soup!” I said glad.
“Ah” She looked away from me and tried to pretend we was not twins and not even related in blood!
Even if we was twins didn't we look so alike... She had light hair and I had dark hair and our eyes had the same form. But they had different colors, she had a beautiful heavenly color I was so jealous of! And I had just this green color... She did play soccer and I didn't play any sport...
I just loved to write stories about a girl I made that only did crazy things and she lived in the Victorian time with her rich family and the house they lived in was that house on the hill with the coloured window in the middle.
“Aren't you coming?” My mum was looking at me from inside the kitchen window.
I had stopped right in front the door thinking about these things.
After dinner did I take a bath that did last for a hour. But in the end did my sister go crazy outside the door because she wanted to bath too.
“I'm coming” I said and took on my pajamas, it was Grey and had some holes here and there since it was old.
I was jealous when I looked at my sister's pajamas besides me on the chair. It was new and green.
My mom had got her a new one for some weeks ago. I had just said that I didn't need a new one and that I didn't want one either.
“Can you hurry up?!” Said my sister outside the door angry. Why did she always get those things?
Why couldn't my mother buy me something too?
“Hurry up!” Said my mom outside after she had noticed my sister speaking to someone on the other side of the door into the bath.
“Ah, sorry!” I said with a crumbled voice like I was whispering to someone I didn't know.
When I was done stood my mother outside the door to give me a goodnight hug as normal.
I knew she always would be nice to whatever happened!
It's just me that is the jealous one! My sister has of course problems as well? I didn't really know that.
When my mom hugged me was it like she didn't want to let go of me. But today it was just a soft normal hug that my aunt always gives me. But it was a nice feeling that filled me when she hugged me...
“Have you got a new perfume?” I noticed a really nice smell as well! It was like strawberry.
“Yes, it's named Strab, I got it from your sister yesterday” She was blushing with a red color like a strawberry. Everyone on my mom's side did blush like that even I and my sis!
“Ah, next time I will get you something too!”
When did my sister buy this perfume? Did she maybe buy something to me as well?
“I think she got something to you too” Said my mother like she could read my eyes and mind.
“Ah!” My face was suddenly got a growing grin.
“But now you have to go to sleep, it's school tomorrow remember!” She gave me a last hug and looked at me going against my room.
I couldn't wait until my sister gave me whatever it was...
When I opened my door into my room did I see a little bottle that was purple on my bed.
It was a perfume!
The next day did I wake up to a sharp light filling my whole room like it was the sun.
“What...” I said half asleep.
“Get ready! It's soon school time!” Said my sister happy and danced towards me holding a little music box. Why was she so filled with spirit?
I took on my new perfume and that made my sister even more happy! “Do you like it?”
She asked me when we walked to school in the rain.
“Yes. But what is the smell named?” I asked and she stopped smiling. “Eh, I thought you knew...”
She said disappointed. “Ah, maybe it's a kind of flower?” I said with a fake smile and tried to cheer her up!
When we got to school had it started to rain even more. I was very wet when I took of my jacket.
My poor jacket... It offered itself for me. I had to laugh!
In the classroom was everyone talking with the teacher about our school trip that was coming up after winter.
“Can't we go to a hotel instead of camping?” Said some of the girls. But the boys was fighting against them.
“No! Hotel is too expensive! Let's go camping” Did the boys say and the teacher just listened to them fighting with lighting and storms.
“Where are we gonna go?!” Asked the whole class the teacher and now looked at him.
He stood up and was ready to speak? Did he know...
“We are gonna go camping” Did he say with a sad face. I think he wanted to go to a hotel...
It was still raining the whole day and my sister had still soccer training even if it was raining.
I had to wait for her... In the rain. But I was allowed to go someplace and then I decided to go to the big Victorian house on the hill. The owner of the house was never home and he didn't live here anymore either so nobody should be there now.
The boys had said they had been there and they said it was only old toys laying around there with their creepy smiles.
“If I'm not here when you are done can you just go home” I said to Nina before she left me behind.
“Alright!” She was just smiling as normal and ran after her friends!
Before I walked into the forest before the hill I looked down at one of my drawings of my precious character named Lina Campbell.
She had long dreamy yellow hair with a color that remembered me of gold and her blue eyes had the heavenly color my sister had...
She wore a pink dress and danced around in her play room playing with some toys.
She loved to play with them...
I wondered if that house had a owner before like her. I looked up on the big forest. It was kinda scary. It was a big green normal forest but it was strange that it even was a forset here and only here.
I took the first step towards it and a crumbling feeling filled my legs.
It was creepy inside the forest and there was many kinds of strange sounds coming from everywhere!
I couldn’t wait until I came to the end of the forset and could see the house.
Some animals looked at me but I couldn’t see them. I just heard them.
The road was almost gone now and there was many Leafs laying around here and there.
When I came to the end of the forest I could see the house or I could call it mansion when I was so close.
It was even more bigger now and more beautiful.
I ran up the hill happily and couldn’t wait until I came inside the house!
When I on the top I looked closer at the statue before I walked inside, it was soon gone now and the child it was holding had lost it’s head.
The door was heavy and it took a long time before I got open enough.
It was dark inside the house but the light from the door showed me a little of the room...
It was a long and big staircase in the end of the room that leads up to the second floor.
I wonder what that is up there? Maybe the owner hasn’t moved the furniture the previous owners had! A small hope filled me.
I walked slowly up the stairs and pretended to be a princess in a long golden dress.
There was many doors here and there in the house and I hadn’t time to examine
All of them but I will maybe come again some other day!
There was one door that made my heart almost jump. It was a plate on the door with a name on. The name was Lina!
I really wanted to check this room! I knocked on just to check it wasn’t anyone there and then opened the door.
It was a toy room! There was many kinds of dolls with creepy smiles looking at me like they was alive...
I took a few steps towards a big bed on the other side of the room. It was purple and it lookes like it was fluffy.
Maybe I should check it out? I wanted to try but it was not my property!
I did it! I jumped on the bed and then I heard a high sound like something got broken.
“Huh?” I looked around, what had happened?
“You” Said a voice with a whispering sound. The door opened and a girl on my age came inside she looked exactly like me... It was me! It was only one differece between us...
Her skin was white! White like snow...
“Who are you?!” I got of the bed in a hurry and looked scared at her.
“Are you trying to destroy my house? Shall I maybe get some of the maids to throw you out?”
She was angry I could hear but her face didn’t show any expression!
I couldn’t say anything I just looked at her. She smiled and took up a broken doll and crushed it!
“Well, I haven’t had anyone to play with for a long time...” Her smile was scary...
“Who are you?” I asked her and looked at her doll falling down on the floor in tiny pieces.
“I? I’m Lina Capbell” She said with a friendly voice.
She threw a doll over to me. “Shall we play then?” She said happy and took up a another one.
“No!” I threw back to her the stupid doll. “I’m to big to play with dolls!” I said with a crumbling voice. Her voice changed.
“No, you are never to big to play with them” She pointed a finger at me and started to laugh.
“Are you kidding? You are at least as old as me!” I said and pointed back at her.
She did just laugh even more now.
“Huh?” My hand dropped down and she looked at me again.
“I’m not 13 years old Diana. I’m over many hundreds years old” She suddenly turned around.
“Huh? You’re lying! That’s impossible! I’m leaving!” I said and tried to get past her but my body stopped moving when I came to the door.
“You’re not leaving” She said with a calmly voice. “What...” I tried to move but it was not a chance. She came against me with heavy steps that scared me.
Her form changed into a snow white person. This person didn’t either show an expression to me and this person was even more scary!
“You will forever live here with me and be my friend until I’m ready to leave this world”
Her eyes got smaller and the started a evil laugh. She was a ghost!
