As is the tradition of merry folk,
the spirits of cunning fun.
Falls the task of the Autumn look,
of season four through one.
But the Fairy best for the task,
the foxy haired boy Spencer.
He's drunken himself off a cider flask
of apple and cinnamon flavor.
So his sister, the witty Vivan
calls upon her friends of twenty.
Supplying each with brush and can
she has hands a plenty.
Eager wings fly, soar, and hum
over the night valley, mountain, and brook.
Small fairy lights visible to some
putting forth their best Autumn look.
Vivan flies along on a moths back
trying to supervise this construction.
But by moon light colors seem to lack
in a dull gray and black completion.
But night is short when theres work to do,
Vivan blows her horn near sunlight.
She waits on a branch for one last view
of the work of her people through night.
The sun's golden rays slowly ascend
and a smile spreads over her face.
Colors red, purple, yellow all blend
as the valley awakes a new place.
Passing birds on the winds above
throw down an approval in flight.
Vivan spins giving herself a hug
over come by pure delight.
A canvas of colors scarlet and orange
brown, gold, and only a little green.
Vivan decides that this Autumn splurge
is the best look she has ever seen.
