Today went fairly well. :] Not the best possible day 1 of junior year, but it was alright. I ran into enough familiar faces, and even some unfamiliar ones, whose faces I hope I can remember.
It seems I've got first period free again just like freshman year, and who should join me but Hera, Yuna, Catherine and many others? I met a nice freshman girl, Ying Yan, who also has first free, but I'm almost certain that I won't remember her face. I SUCK WITH FACES. I hope I don't accidentally walk right past her without recognizing her. >///<
Second period, I've got Latin with Ms. Goldstein! There are a lot of familiar people in that class. It's like a combo of my freshman year classmates and my sophomore year classmates. It seems that FAKE IRENE and REAL IRENE (me) have been reunited! How touching! x]
Third, I've got AP Java with Mr. Fox. Yukti's with me, and despite all that I've heard, a good number of students in the class are girls! Anatoley's in the class, although somehow I felt that he would have taken it last year. Guess he was in VB hm? A lot of familiar people are in there, including Bushra, Jonathan (tall one from writing seminar), Jacqueline (whose sister apparently took the class with Fox 5 years agoa nd got a 4 on the AP), and a lot more. I'm pretty psyched about Java. =3 Yay for computer science!
Fourth period, I've got Precalculus with Ms. Bernstein. She's pretty nice. =3 Mindy, form Gym last year, and Esther (Ro) are in my class. Ben Su's also in my class. Why does he keep passing random people's things up to the teacher? Somehow, sitting behind him in Global freshman year was a better experience than sitting in front of him now in Math (speaking of which, we had Mr. Eng together freshman year too).
Fifth is US History with Mr. Sadok. He's a pretty cool teacher. He has hearing problems though, but I can handle it cause I'm a tadpole now at the least. :] He made us write the names of the 19 most recent presidents in order on the back of our info. cards. xD I wonder if anyone got it all right. O.O Esther (Huh) and Annie are both in my class. =3 Esther's also with me in Latin. She sits in front of me. x] I'm seated in the back again.
Sixth was Math Team, and seeing as there's no way I'm getting on the team, also considering that I'd drop it even if I did get in, that's my lunch period. Yuna has lunch with me also! Lunch and free! So today I spent it with Lindah, who also has first with me, Elizabeth, fake Irene, Bushra, and Janie.
Oh also, I have a new homeroom teacher. Mr. Uziel's gone. :[ But my new teacher who happens to also be my physics teacher (Mr. Uziel might have been my physics teacher otherwise) is pretty cool. Her name is Ms. Schiller. =3 I have her last period and for lab 8th and 9th. In that class I've got Christine (from Latin, she's in the other Latin class again though - im second period, she's fourth), Linda (a girl i met in the morning through Lindah who has first free with us too), Onix, Jaime, and some familiar faces like Elvhin.
Seventh I've got potentially one of my soon to be favorite classes, Creative Writing with Ms. Sapozhnikov! She's a pretty cool teacher thus far, and there are certainly a LOT of familiar faces in that class. Nahien (Lindah and Amandeep's friend) sits to my left, Ji to my right, and Karen in front of me. =3 I'm glad I've got a class with Karen! Christie, Michelle (Lin), Michelle (Nava), Javier, Ji, and a lot of familiar faces like Frankie (Franchesca) and Collin are there, so its a pretty nice environment. :]
Eighth today, and Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in general, I've got Gym. My teacher is Ms. Miko Claire. She seems fairly nice. I'm in the same section as Jenny. My section is mostly seniors with a few freshmen. Before we grouped I just sat around and talked with Regina (she went to a sauna for her birthday!), Mindy, Alex (aka Cathy Reedz on facebook), and another girl I didn't recognize. We didn't do much in gym today except get classes in order. We've got a big group this period. Five classes need to share two gyms. x_x Why are we letting so many freshmen in, really?
Oh also, I met Cole in Gym but apparently he didn't have it today. xD So even juniors misread the schedule it seems.
Ninth as I said was physics which was alright.
Going back, homeroom was pretty nice. Talking with Sitara, Susanna, Janie, and Nancy again was nice. Ms. Schiller actually let us out early by accident. I stuck around chatting with people so she realized before I left. Half the people that left early came back. Half didn't. ;D But it was fun either way.
After ninth I went straight home. I was falling asleep on the bus. Rawr!
I think Yuna might have been looking for me since she called, but Buffy had my phone today so perhaps tomorrow.
Hm, overall, it was a nice day I think.
Also, thank you Karen, Esther, and Annie for the birthday presents! Karen gave me a frog container with origami inside and Pocky in this really cute doggy gift bag, Esther gave me The Wind in the Willow (i loved that book in the 4th grade), and Annie gave me a little pink froggy (which might just be an eraser). Thank you guys!
