Darker Image
Saipire held fast, her feet digging into the mud. She whipped out both rapiers, preparing for whatever was coming at her. Her sapphire eyes widened as she realized that the enemy was not around her, but in her. She struggled every step, her feet dragging in the mud as she fought the change. Saipire shoved down the growl that was trying to escape her throat. She drove on through the forest, trying desperately to control the shadow that was crawling up her skin. She suddenly gave up the fight and collapsed in the bright moonlight. She silently watched her golden hands go gray, then coal black. She closed her eyes, not wanting to watch further. Yet the drow kept her awake, taking its revenge yet again on her surface elf form. She clamped her mouth shut, quieting the scream that could awaken more enemies, but the dark elf would not be cheated of its joy. She watched the shadows that seemed to crawl up her arms and legs, smothering her, sufficating her. The darker image toyed with her, trying to get a scream of agony out of her. Saipire then fainted, leaving the shadow-like drow to transform her completely.
