here you go ^^
The Truth
After a very quiet ride, they finally stopped. Revy had dozed off; she was resting her head on Hannah’s shoulder.
The Old woman turned her head and said, “We’re here.”
“Where actually is ‘here’?” Alex responded, motioning to Hannah to wake Revy up. The woman smiled, as she climbed off the wagon and walked around to the back of the wagon, “My home.”
Revy yawned and blinked in the light, “Are we there yet?” Alex gave her the look of wow-really, Revy just smiled, as Alex jumped of the wagon. Revy jumped off too, still half asleep, they helped Hannah off the wagon.
The old woman was walking toward what look like a medieval home. The walls of the old home were of a dark, mud, brick. The roof was of wooden panels, poorly arranged, it looked like it would leak if it rained. The house was in the middle of a clearly a little off the dirt road they traveled on.
The three yet to be warriors stood near the wagon not sure
on what to do. The woman turned and motioned for them to follow, “Don’t be afraid children, and come in.” She walked into the house, leaving the door open.
Hannah took a deep breath and started to walk toward the wooden door, holding to book. Alex and Revy looked at each other and had a sort of silent agreement, if Hannah had moved first, it was ok. They followed Hannah. Alex walked in to the little house, first. The first thing that she noticed was that inside it look a lot bigger then she thought, Weird.., she thought. The others noticed this too; they walked in with confused expressions.
The ceiling looked higher then it looked from the outside. There was two door ways on the opposite side of the room, which looked like they lead to other rooms. They stood in what looked like a cross between a kitchen and a dining room. There was a wooden table in front of a fire place, with fire blazing in it. There were various things around room. Bookshelves, with what looked like ancient looking items on the shelves. There was a ring that was rusting, with a blue stone on it, was sitting there on a shelf. There were also bottles of things the girls didn’t want to think about.
The woman was sitting in a chair at the end of the table; she had finally taken the hood off revealing white wavy hair. She reminded Alex of an old warrior that had survived many wars, she was someone of great importance, and they could feel it.
They stood near the door, again not sure what to do, until she motioned to the chairs. Alex moved first this time sitting in the chair to the woman’s right. The other two following, Hannah setting the book on the table.
“You girls must be confused, let me explain, but first my name is Eldra,” she smiled, “the witch.”
There was an in take of breath from Hannah and Revy, but Alex leaned forward, “So it’s true, we aren’t in our world anymore, are we?”
She shock her head, “I’m afraid you’re in a world much more brutal, then your own.”
Revy leaned forward too, “Before you explain anything,” she pushed the book in front of Eldra, “please explain this.”
Eldra smiled, “This,” She flipped through the pages, “is an elder book, a book that is very old, and usually contains the future of a world, whether it’s good or bad. This one contains your futures and how you effect this world. Only the elder witches can write them.”
Hannah joined in, “So you’re a witch right? Then are you a...”
“Elder,” she smiled, “Yes, in fact I’m the one who wrote this. I’m the one who saw you three coming.”
Hannah’s eyes widened, Revy cussed under her breath, and Alex got more into the discussion.
“Prove it; prove that you’re a witch!” Alex said a little forceful. Eldra smiled still, she held her hand out to the side. And a sting of fire came from the blazing fire in the fireplace, and formed into a ball in her hand.
This time Revy and Hannah stood up with wide eyes, Alex grinning, “Awesome!”
“That’s only a small amount of what I can do, and how I know you three would come is because witches are the one race that can see the future. We are the ones who make prophecies,” Eldra explained.
Calming down Hannah and Revy sat back down, accepting that they were in a different world.
“You said this world is more brutal, how so?” Hannah asked.
Eldra nodded her smile fading, “Yes, let me start from the beginning. Althilena once was a peaceful world. Until Ragone, a darkness dragon, decided to, try to rule this world. A war raged for over 200 years, between the darkness and the light, many innocent, lives were lost. Until a brave soul, decided to fight back with all the light had to offer. She was a human, a princess in fact; her name was Kayla, Princess Kayla. She decided to search for the sword of truth. The one true sword that could defeat the darkness, and kill Ragone. She found it, but she wasn’t able to kill Ragone completely. He was put into a slumber, a slumber that only a powerful spell could awaken him. His armies fell back, protecting their leader from people wanting to kill him off. Kayla had died trying to defeat him, as she was dieing she hide the sword, somewhere where the darkness couldn’t find it. No one knows where it is, but the sword waits, waits until it’s pieced through the heart of Ragone.”
There was a long pause of intensity. Eldra had her old hands clutched together on the table. Her expression was a mix of sadness and rage. For some reason Alex knew she was there, and she knew Kayla, maybe even adored her.
The witch started to talk again, “To make things worse, a month ago, an elder wizard, became a traitor to the light counsel. He was one of a very small number of magic users that knew the spell that could awaken Ragone. He awoke Ragone, and ever since they have Ragone has seen to it that his army is much better, stronger, and bigger, then last time...”
Again there was a long pause; Alex noticed that Hannah had an expression of rage, which was weird, since Hannah rarely ever got mad at anything. Revy on the other hand looked like she was deep in thought, staring at her hands on the table.
Alex decided to break the silence, “I hope the light is gathering armies as well.”
Eldra nodded, “Yes, we are gathering armies, we’ve asked all the races that are willing to fight. So far the gathering of armies has been successful, but the soldiers grow nervous.”
Hannah came from her trance, “Nervous? About what? Well I understand a little bit on why they would be nervous but...”
“About the Prophecy, and if it will come true,” Eldra said”
“Prophecy?” the three girls said at the same time.
“Wait a minute, you’re the one that made the Prophecy, weren’t you?” Revy asked. Eldra smiled, “Yes I was.”
“It’s about us isn’t it?” Revy asked her voice rising with a mix of emotions.
Eldra nodded, “It’s about you three coming to our world, and finding the sword of truth, and defeating Ragone once and for all. The soldiers are nervous that you guys won’t appear and defeat Ragone.”
Alex sighed, “Wow, that’s a lot pressure right there.”
Suddenly Hannah stood up, knocking her chair over, a very serious face on, “I’m in! Ragones going down!” She held out her hand.
Revy and Alex looked at each other smiles forming on their faces, they nodded and stood up. They put their hands on top of Hannah’s, “Oh yeah! We’re in!” Revy said happily. Alex smirked, “Ragone is definitely going down.”
Eldra smiled, “I like your sprits. Now we need to get you three ready for your long journey ahead, but before I do anything. Do you any of you know how to use a weapon, as in a sword, knives, etc.”
The girls looked at each other, and Alex responded, “Sort of, at a summer camp we went to, a year before, we learned how to use a sword, knives, and a bow and arrow. Revy and I were good with sword and knives, but not the greatest. Hannah on the other hand, she was born to do archery, she not only was the best at the camp, and she loves doing it.” The two other girls nodded in agreement.
Eldra paused, thinking it over, “In that case, you two,” she pointed to Alex, and Revy, “need to get better at using weapons.” Alex and Revy gave the look of oh-great at each other, when she left into another room.
After a few moments she returned with a hand full of weapons. She set them on the table; they looked like weapons made from elves, from Lord of Rings movies, but a little different. There was a sword with a slightly curved blade, like a Japanese sword, called a katana. There was three belts of knives, two of them, had nothing but throwing knives on them, the other had two combat knives, bigger then the throwing knives, also with a slight curve to the blade. The third set of weapons was a bow and arrow, the bow looked strong, ivy was craved on to it, small enough for Hannah to hold. Then a quiver of arrows, the quiver had the same ivy cravings on it, it was full of arrows.
Smiles spread on the girls’ faces, grabbing what weapons they liked best. Alex grabbed the sword, unsheathing it to look at the blade, it was in shape. Rexy grabbed the knives, checking them to see if they felt good in her hands. Hannah obviously grabbed the bow and arrows, looking like a little kid that just got candy.
Eldra smiles, and headed for the same room, but stopped, and motioned for them to follow. They walked in the room, it looked like a storage room, weapons, cloths, magical items, and supplies littered the room. Eldra was looking an old looking wooden chest, which was open. As they got closer, they saw that it was full of cloths.

About an hour later, they didn’t look like they came from a different world at all. Alex was dressed in a simple, light, white, shirt, that sleeves ended at the elbow, and it had a slit at the collar, that was threaded with leather string, very medieval looking. Her pants were leather, but loose, the shoes were something she’d have to get use to, they were leather, medieval, riding, boots, that ended below the knees.
Revy wore a black corset shirt, laced with ribbon, the sleeves made of a soft, light, black, cloth, that ended at the elbow, the shirt had a gothic feel to it, and it showed off her curves quite nicely. She wore black leather capris, which hugged her figure, with the same shoes as Alex.
Hannah actually wore a dress. It was forest green, corset, renaissance dress, and the sleeves loose and ending at the elbow. The dress ended a little shorter then an actually dress, since Hannah will be moving around a lot, ending above the feet, showing the same type of shoes as the other two.
They had their weapons already, ready; Alex had her sword at her hip. Revy had the belt with the two bigger knives on normally, the knives in the back, then the two other belts crossing over each other, hanging there. Hannah had the quiver strapped to her back and the bow fit in the quiver.
Alex and Revy would wear the two leather backpacks full of supplies (food, cooking supplies, water, capes, blankets etc.) on their backs, since they had nothing on them, and Hannah was too small to carry them anyway. Instead Hannah carried a small, worn out, leather, messenger bag, which held only the book and, money. The money consisted of small gold, silver, and copper coins.
They were sitting at the table, their bags on the table
waiting; Eldra was getting something in another room. She came back with a long, small, quite nice looking, wooden box. She set it on the table and opened it so they could see was inside.
There were necklaces that looked the same; they laid on a piece of velvet. Alex noticed the necklaces each had something different about them. One had a sword, ivy coiled around it; another had a knife, again with ivy coiled around it; and third a bow and a quiver of arrows, ivy coiled around it.
“Let me guess, each one is for us, but what are they for?” Revy asked.
“People won’t know you three are the ones from the prophecy, unless something about you, told them other wise. But it would be wise to hide them, unless the time called for it,” Eldra explained.
“Oh, okay so, we should probably shouldn’t let the bad guys know then,” Hannah said.
Edlra nodded, “It would wise if a person of light wanted to fight you, that you show them these,” she patted the box.
The three of them nodded, they understood, they each grabbed the one for them, Alex, the sword; Revy, the knife; and Hannah, the bow and arrows.
They put necklaces on, and covered them with their shirts, so people only saw the chain.
Eldra stood by the door smiling, “Before I set you off on your journey for the sword, you must meet some people, who will help you on your journey.”
