breathed… slowly…listened to the beat of my heart...relaxed my body…griped the stock tightly… felt the metal against my finger tip…saw his face perfectly …he turned to me and I could read the words on his lips...”thank you” I pulled back gently my whole body still…unmoving….just 3 muscles in my body working… the world was still. everything was gone…just me and him. the world seemed to slowly down. those 3 seconds seemed the longest like hours where passing by while I watched the little light move closer and closer to him , he fell to the ground d the bang from my rifle just go to my ears my shoulder was being shaken “ LT.! WE NEED TO LEAVE NOW! “ he yelled. I started to run with the others through a field of tall grass then one by one we all disappeared, repeated gun shots fallowed us , I heard my …comrades…brothers fall to the ground as tears escaped my eyes I kept running till it was all behind me

I stumbeld leaning against a tree my body about to give out on me ,my breth comong out in heavy puffs
I sighed catching my breath - I need to find a town befor dawn…- I though takeing out a map .
- am I the only one that made it…? Hmm whats this?- I looked over the map and found a circel around a town and coradence writen beside it “ 358.99 north 505.65 west” I mumbeld
I rested against a tree and sighed listening…the word was quite…no birds..no animals ..no cricets or cicades…._that’s not a good thing….. Then I heard it..a heart beating breathing off just slightly adrenilen running through its vains… “ DIE!” I felt a sharp pain in my side then I turned and hit what ever attacked me with the butt of my rifel and it fell to the ground , my body wen tinto servivel instects and I beat what I thought was its head intot eh ground with my rifel but..I stoped after a while blood mist on my face… I was panting, not froma phisacl strighn but fromteh though I might die… I licked my face and swallowed then spat down on the corpse
“stupid neken” I sighed and started walking tword sa town turning on my stelth suit so I could move with out being seen or heard … I walked for a few hours and found the town .
“finaly” I mumbeld and walked inbehind an old building that looked like it was about to be torn down
I took off my helmet and mask and started to open the celler door that was on the sid eof the house when I heard a gasp of fear.-I spun around and was faceing a neken girl with rabbit ear she looked like she wa s about to run so I pounced my blade to her throat my hand clasping her mouth shut It was so fast I dought she saw me move , the look of fear in her eyes made my stomack turn I whisperd trhough my mask
“don’t scream or ill be forced to kill u, blink if u understand..”

She blinked tears wellign up in her eyes

“now that you have seen me I have to keep u til my missons over alright, if ur good I will let u go do you, understand?”
she blinked again and I kicked open the door still holding her with the knife at her neck and my hand over her mouth looking almost like a headlock I closed the door letting her go
s**t I wasn’t planning on have company…what the hell am I going to do…..- I though t lockig the door by twisting the metal togeather like it was plastic twist ties
She was at he far corner looking at me eyes wide with feartears rolling down her cheeks
-do I look that scary?- I though to my self and then I took off my mask

my voice sounded normal not distorted by the mask and I guessed it was better , most girls liked my voice back in my contry , it shouldn’t be that much different I deduced

“um im sorry if I hurt you..” I tried to look as sencer as posabel
She seemed to easy uppjust slightly
“ im not here to kill you or any of your pepole alright, I just cant have you runnign around telling every one what you saw “
I sat down across the room from her and cheacked my side armand my rifel.
“ my name is KI …if you would like to know ..look im sorry you got draged into this I realy wasn’t planning on being seen bye you , or any one for that matter “
- why do I have a soft spot for girls..? Even if they are a different race shes still a girl…sighit would be somuch esayer if I could kill her…I can bring my self to kill a lady though…-

“tell me , ms, tarryn , have you ever had chocolate befor?” I said trying to be nice- a happy captive is a quite captive- I thought to my self.
“ yes I love chocolate..why?”
I took a chocolate bar out from my pack and offerd it to her
“here u are , a peace offering” I smiled hoping my fangs didn’t show
“um..thanks…” she tok it opend it and started nibbeling on it.
the pain in my side started up and I started coughing.. I looked at my hand and there was blood
“ Sh-s**t….” I fell over and I saw her sitting over arcoss the room only a few feet away
She was at my side …”why..why are you helping me…?”
“be-because ur a preson a and you need some help…”
“theres a medicaly kit in muy bag..can u get it for me..” I said the tate of blood still in my moth and I coughed again.
“al-lright”she was out of my line of veiw and back ina moment.
“help me u-p- please” I asked her coughing again
-damn it how bad did I get hit , am I going to die..after as far as ive made it in this damn war…200years….-
She heled me tomy side and I opened the kit.
“th-thank you miss tarryn…” I smiles weakily at her she seemed sad..even though I had just capture her she stillseemed sad I was dieing..”I wish there were more like u..thenthis war would have never happened”
I smiled a bit more at her then coughed again taking off my shirt
I saw her face turn bright red and then she turned around , I laughed a bit in my head because it hurt to much to laugh for real. I looked down at my sid eand there was some metal object sticking out of my side…I sliped my knife into the wound right under it holding back a yell o pain and pulled down poping it it , I yelled and panted from the pain. She turned around and was looking at me . I took a bandage and some alcohale and cleaned the wound biting my lip.
“what happened..?” she asked
“ I was attackd by someone “
“oh….do you need some help..?”
“ that would be nice… hold this pad agains my wound alright…or wrap this around my stomack holding the pad inplace ok”
She blushed and took the wrp and wraped it around my stomack slowly blushig when ever she brushed against my skin I sighed and took the wrap from her after a few passes and tied it off
“thank you ms tarryn..”

I fel t my eyes grow heavy- “ you know u can kill me if I fall asleep… ut u would die bc u cant open the door” I lied smiling
“your going to relase me tomarrow , right?” she ased me
“tomarrow night.. Yes”
I handed her my bed roll and put my jacket over my self
“get some sleep alright “ I sighed clseign my eyes the pain stating to numb
“a-alright…ur not going to do anythign to me while I sleep right..?”
I laughed and coughed again then laughed a bit more
“tarryn, I don’t have enough strength even if I wanted to, im a gntelmen also , I wouldn’t do that to you heh I havnt laughed like that ina while…good night tarryn..” I said faling asleep listening to her laugh a bit
“good…good night …ki..”
