I recently went in and deleted ALL of my previous journal entries. Why?
Because I want a clean start with it. It was all stupid, and obsessing over stupid things. Plus lame people that I have no affiliation with anymore.
I like fresh slates, and this will be one ofmy first ones.
School is starting up soon - I'm going to be a sophomore. 10th grade. Wow. IT used to feel like it was so far away, but now that I'm here, I realize that I've only grown a little since I was born. For once, I'm very excited about the upcoming year. I have a lot of great classes ready to go.
Semester 1:
P1: Honors English II.
P2: Photography.
P3: Parenting & Child Development.
P4: Honors Geometry.
Semester 2:
P1: Honors Chemistry.
P2: Online German II.
P3: Civics & Economics.
P4: Honors Algebra II.
I'm doubling up on math classes because I can't take Chemistry if I don't know some Algebra II things. This is actually great for me, because I should be in Algebra II this year anyway - but I did a lot of stupid things in 8th grade, so my form of rebellion against my Algebra I teacher ( whom I hated ) was not doing homework. She held me back for that. ( I still hate her though. She gave me this snide little smirk as she signed her name next to the Algebra I class. I hope her students make her miserable. )
I think the classes I'm excited about the most are Photography, German II, and Parenting & Child Development. My friends say I'm not the motherly type, and that I'm going to fail that class by throwing the plastic babies at walls because they won't shut up, but either way it'll be fun. I wanted to take Graphic Design, but the times they had it available interfered with the rest of my classes. :/ Oh well. I'll get into it eventually.
Photography... oh, that's going to be amazing. My father is a photographer at heart, since he taught a class for it once, and I know I'll get help from him if I need it. I must have inherited the photographer genes too, since the sound of it is so exciting to me. I'm a bit of an artsy person.
German II is a continuation of my online class last year as a freshman. I love the language, because of my blood is German in origin ( I can trace my last name to a town in Germany ), and it makes me feel smart when I can understand it. Spanish probably would have been more practical, but I don't like that language for some reason. I like Spanish-speaking people and the culture is fine, but the actual language just kinda rubs me backward.
So, life is being really good to me. :] I've made a lot of new friends this Summer, all of which are cool, via Gaia. Even though they're all rather far away, I trust them just as much as I do my close friends here in North Carolina.
