Hello, the main question for this chapter is existence, Do we exist? Does the world exist? Is it just a product of our imagination? Are we just living a very realistic dream?
From my side, I think we should not question our own existence. Senses like sight, hearing or feel can be easily manipulated and tricked into sending wrong information to our brain. We could be fooled into thinking that we are seeing and illusion or hearing an eerie music or even convinced that we are on fire. In extreme cases, the brain itself can be fooled into working differently, like hypnotized into thinking we are a chicken, a lion, a ninja and so on... But there is one truth that we know that it is, deep inside ourselves. A truth that we believe to be the ultimate truth, the one which we instinctively trust to be 100% correct:
I EXIST
The fact of self-existence can never be denied by the person. The person can have his or her doubts about the existence of other people, other places, other objects, but deep down, instinctively, we believe and defend our own existence. A proof of that is sometimes our fear of Death, or non-existence. We fear Death, and try to avoid it accordingly, because Death would take away our very own existence, or so we believe , but that is a topic for another chapter.
So, to summarize it all: Do we exist? Yes, we do. Does everything else exist? Maybe, maybe not...
