oy....where do i start?
from the beginning is a good place don't you think?

alright so i woke up earlier than i had to and went to work. Did i mention that i felt kinda nauseous when i woke up? well now i did. But i was happy. I go to work and i still felt sick, but unfortunately not sick enough to throw up so i couldn't go home.

awhile later i go on break.

and while im sitting and eating my food, a strange old man, maybe about late sixties or so, comes up to me and talks to me for a little bit. He looks at my name tag (which says Colby XD) and he goes "Colby? That's your name?"
and I say Well my real name is Shelby, but my boss she calls me Colby."
"Oh really now?"
"Yes sir. How are you?"
"Oh I'm pretty good...Are you on break?"
"Yes sir"
"How much longer you got?" (here he shows his watch, and I look at my phone cuz i need to see the numbers to get the right time, plus my head wasn't exactly clear...)
"oh it looks like i got about 15 more minutes here...Why?" (is truly puzzled and starts to get a bit creeped out)
"Can you read Military time?"
"yes I can our clock slips are in military time" then he goes to show me his watch again and tells me about how the military time works. I know how it works but i was being polite so i smiled and nodded. Then he goes again...
"Are you gonna be in the military or something?" that was odd...
No, sir...
Oh...Are you not old enough? What grade are you in? Are you still in High School?"
Yes I'm still in High School, I'm gonna be a Senior."
"Are you really? You're gonna have so much fun! Being a senior....Boy i remember back when i was a senior 41 years ago....You know...I should still be in jail for some of the things I did back then." then he gave me an odd look like "can you believe this old man belongs in jail?" with his blue eyes...
and I look back, probably with a confused and bemused look
'Oh? Why is that?"
"Because I was a bad boy" and then he laughed and I laughed too, but more out of nervousness...because by this time i was starting to feel like i should book it out of there...
then he goes
"Are you gonna be here when I get back? I gotta go real quick."
"Oh yeh I'll be here" not that i have anywhere else to go with 10 minutes left in my break XD
"Oh good, cuz I have something to give you when I get back."
"Alright then..." he goes to the bathroom and he comes back a few minutes later, he goes to the table where he was sitting at before, picks something up, and comes back to me.
"you want a car magnet?"
"sure..." eyeing him suspiciously, very confused
"Do you want two?"
"Why not?" and he shows me the two different "support Our Troops" car magnets and I feel a bit relieved...idk what I was expecting but it certainly wasn't that....
"You know where I got them from?"
"No sir, Can't say I do..."
"I got them up at ACE hardware...they had a word on them. A very great word...it started with an F...Do you know what that word is?"
"What is that word sir?"
" F... R.... E.....E.....
isn't that a great word?"
"It's certainly the best word around. Thank you sir."
"Your welcome. Remember that word..." and he goes back to sit down where he was before.

lots of things went thru my head....but they were cut short by a man and his little girl.
the men's restroom was occupied to he asked me to check the women's so he and his girl could go in and use it. All was clear so I let him in and guarded the door.
A couple minutes later a woman starts to go in and I stop her and say there is a man in there with his little girl, just to warn her so she doesn't freak out and think he's a creep. so she decided to wait until he was done in there. he took up the rest of my break, waiting for him to come out of the restroom...he finally came out and thanked me and the woman went in.

then back on the clock im taking orders in drive thru today. then at the end of an order (and with my headset still set to talk to the outside) the guy starts his truck, which i didn't realize was off, and it's a very loud truck too, like a deisel stressed
so it scared the bejezues out of me and i involuntarily yell "GOD DAMMIT!"
and then turn off the outside talk on the headset.... redface
Ryan goes "how's your ear Shelby? I know mine hurts." cuz he had a headset on too...
"It hurts like hell..."
the guy gets to the window all surprised and goes Did I hear that correctly?"
"Hear what?"
"You saying 'God dammit!'" he starts to laugh a bit
"Oh...that...sorry....It hurt my ear... redface all embarassed cuz i didn't realize they could hear that over his truck
they laugh as they drive away....

alright much later.....

i came home, took a shower, got on gaia for like five minutes and decided to take a nap.

My sister woke me up once to say I needed to call Louise, my aunt, back before I leave....but i was still asleep XD
then she came in again a little later and asked if i wanted to go with Vicki , my other aunt, to that concert up town.
I jumped out of bed because i forgot all about it and was still half alseep when we got to my grandma's house to pick her up too for the concert. oh and i still felt a bit sick but better than in the morning.

I forget what the band's name was, but they were all in the US Army and they were like a little rock band. they play all over the country and they were actually really good.

some songs made me wanna cry but i didn't. I held it in. I really hate to cry in public....their songs just reminded me of so many things...

but it was a really good concert. It lasted for like an hour and a half and they played at least twenty songs burning_eyes

so well now this is the last journal until i get back. I'll have so much to tell, so many pictures to post.....
