I got to school at 11 to meet Amy and Ailin. We thought there would be a crowd of people at the auditions but it was just us. x]
I got there like 5 minutes earlier than Ailin so I was just talking to Jenny, since the juniors had just finished their English regents. I actually, sadly, didn't even recognize Ailin when she was standing right behind me at the flagpole where we were supposed to meet. Ah, how sucky I am at remembering faces after I meet people only once. But now I definitely know her face!
Anyway, Amy was the brave soul who went in first while me and Ailin practiced in the back stairwell near 336. Then when she was done, Ailin went next and then last was me. I was really nervous although it turned out okay. Mr. Desilva's a pretty cool teacher that is, if it were Isaac from the musical I was audtioning, I'd be scared to death. So, I kind of dawdled after picking a song, and then I played it on the piano for a minute to make sure I had it down. Good thing Mr. Desilva was so laid back and encouraging about it. He also said there might be a piano accompaniment position for the chorus and he put me down for that too. He said there mostly like won't be one needed but if there is...although I don't get how he would pick someone, like would I have to audition at another time or something? Considering he only saw me play for like a minute. Then again, he must have seen me playing all the time during 9th with Michael and Esther. Hm, well. I really hope I got in, honestly for chorus rather than the accompaniment. Anyway he said he needed to see how many people audition to see how many get in, meaning that to hope to get in, is essentially to hope for the failure of others. T.T
Well, after that we all just went down to the cafeteria (me, Amy, Ailin, and Bushra who also auditioned, she had gotten into chorus last year but she dropped it because she wanted a lunch period), where we met everyone else, like Karen, Catherine, Simon, Annie, Patsy, Noelle, and people. And we just talked and ranted about the audition and the test. x]
Now the test...it was okay. It was considerably easy, except for like a couple of short answer questions. I should think I did okay.
Afterwards, I met Amy and Karen outside, and then I just went to Subway's for a tuna sandwich and went home.
Soso, now I kind of feel like sleeping. Hm. Tomorrow I'm gonna have to SUPER CRAM for global. T.T Eh, yeah we all know that's not gonna happen. I'm gonna wake up at 3pm, play piano for hours, read some manga, play more piano, eat and sleep. Ah the life of a turtle. Actually, I felt like a tadpole today during the audition. So maybe I'm a tadpole now? Or at least almost. Yay! A step towards becoming a frog! Progress!
