Someday, surely, I'll hold you in my arms.
The light in my P U R E heart is burning up.
The drive of wanting to see you,
The naivete that makes me want to cry.

- What day was it again? Ah yes, Saturday, the one of the few days of a week Cranberry didn't have to work. A day where he could rest and do as he pleased. A day where his parents would take him and his little sister out to the movies and have a large dinner at an expensive restaurant. Now if only that were true. Saturdays Cranberry spent most of his time staying away from home, making sure his sister was happy. It was tiring, but all he cared about was her happiness. That way she wouldn't feel the pain he has to go through whenever their mom yells at him, or his father comes home drunk and tries to hurt him.
Speaking of his little sister, where was she? By now she would be tugging on his arm wanting him to wake up. Was she still asleep? That was probably a negative, considering she's an early riser. If she's not asleep, then where could she be... when did dad come home last night... oh no.. dad! Cranberry's eyes flashed open and he leaped out of his bed, only to have light blue and gray striped pajama bottoms on. He raced out of his bedroom and into his sister's bedroom. When he saw she wasn't in there, panic rushed through him. Oh god, come on dad you didn't get to her, right!?
After tripping down the stairs he saw that his dad was passed out on the couch with the television on a channel about supermodels. Cranberry rolled his eyes before turning and walking towards the kitchen. On a stool was Tuesday, Cranberries little sister. Relief flushed through Cranberry before he picked up Tuesday and let her sit on his shoulders. She was light, so it didn't hurt for him to pick her up. Plus Cranberry had some muscle, so he wasn't weak. Being on the football team had benefits, too bad he had to quit. Small giggles interrupted Cranberry's thoughts. [color=purple]"Can we go to the park?" Tuesday hugged Cranberry's head. Even though he couldn't see it, he knew she was smiling. "Sure, just let me change and we'll head out," Cranberry put Tuesday on the ground and pushed her towards the stairs. "Wait in my room okay?" Tuesday nodded and hurried up to his room, with him close behind.
Cranberry grabbed a pair of dark gray jeans, a white wife-beater, and a black jean jacket and his converse before heading to the bathroom to change. He quickly changed from his pajamas into his daily clothes and headed back to check on Tuesday. "Alright, let's go," Cranberry called out to her and she ran over to him. He picked her up and placed her on his shoulders once again. They headed out the house and out onto the street.
Tuesday and Cranberry lived only a couple blocks away from the park, so it wasn't a long walk. Once at the park Tuesday tugged on Cranberry's hair, wanting to get down. With a slight groan from having his hair tugged he gently set his sister down, and she ran over the the swings. "Push me!" Tuesday called over to him, and Cranberry followed. He stood behind Tuesday who was sitting on the swing seat. Starting off with a small push, so she wouldn't fall off, he gave her small pushes so she would be in the air. A small smile fell onto Cranberry's lips as he saw the smile on Tuesday's lips. Just to see her smile, that's all that matters.
