My Heart by: Jourden
Like a rose, wilted and dead,
So feels my heart.
Since you told me you loved me,
I was not scared,
To open up my petals,
No thorns or daggars bared.
But now at the end of this cold and dreadful path,
You have shown me your hate, your les, and your wrath.
Now as I lay here in the dustm
What I thought of as love,
You seemed to think of only as lust.
My heart is broken and shattered, and no longer alive.
Like a rose wilted and dead,
I can no longer survive.
*this is a poem that I wrote, and it won a place in a poetry book. Tell me how you like it!*
