This was in our program for prom. It's a message from SADD (Students Against Drunk Driving).
Once by the door he pauses to stand
As he takes his class ring out of her hand
All those who were watching didn't dare speak
As silent tears rolled down his cheek.
All through his mind the memories ran
Of moments they talked and walked in the sand
But now in her eyes, so terribly cold
Never again would he have her to hold.
They watched in silence as he bent near
To whisper' I Love You' in her ear
He touched her face and started to cry
He put on his ring and wanted to die
Just as the wind started to blow
They lowered her casket into the snow
This is what happens to many alive
When friends let friends drink and drive.
