Well
as the title describes, i'm on the other side of the schedule
slim-down, and the results were pretty much foreseen. the biggest thing
is that I'm officially on ONE band now, and that band is (my) Story
Thus Far.
I didn't just out and out leave Almost There
completely flat though; that'd be a real jerk of me. I'm still gonna be
on board for the gigs we had already scheduled (all the way through
summer if I dont get a job...) until they get another bassist, which
i've already got lined up. I currently have a student learning my
playing style; the plan is to have her up to my caliber by the time the
final gig is over. I'm REALLY confident that's not gonna be a problem,
cuz even though we've only had two lessons, she's really picking up on
it.
There's a BIG hitch though... well really two of them; the
first one being she doesn't know about ANY of this (yet), and the other
being she doesn't have ANY gear of her own (not even a power cord...).
Those are some pretty big problems, but i'm sure we'll be able to come
over them without too much problem *knocks on every piece of wood in
sight*. As far as everything else goes, i'm getting even closer to
scoring a girlfriend, and my college schedule is still packed, but then
again this semester is pretty much stuff i already know, so i'm not
sweatin it too much. Well, that pretty much covers everything. PEACE
