just a guy
coming your direction
I might say hello, ask you your name
I may just ignore you
but it's not that I don't like you
I'm just reading a book as I walk down
It's a good read and
I can't pull my nose from it
you might say hello
I look up, smile, and say "how d'you do?"
we could walk together forever
or maybe just exchange thoughts
on the weather
and those fine shoes you're wearing
I say goodbye
have a good one
but if you're the one walking with me
I smile again and say "good to meet you"
where we go from there,nobody knows
thank you for being here to walk with me
that was me while listening to charlie parker, think I've heard it before....but where?
