Days at War
One tiny girl peeks through the garden door
She hears the drums of war, the crying of her parents
The humble roar coming from the jet planes
She screams at the lost of her parents, and family
She fights the pain she hides within when she comes to American land
The kids pick on her, and she fights back the hatred she has
There’s one thing she remembers from her kind mothers words
To experience something, only makes you who you are
If someone picks on you, just don’t listen, and life holds the key
Therefore, from the day she was born she keeps a smile on her face, and never thinks badly of the days she had at war.
